Wigan hope to have the deal completed by the weekend.
Sinclair made his Liverpool debut in a League Cup win over West Brom in 2012 but hasn't made a senior appearance since, though he was recently named in the squad to face Besiktas in the Europa League.
The teenager has five England Under 17 caps.

Sinclair and Ojo on loan at the same club bodes well for a potential strike force in years to come

Slightly derailing the 'Sinclair' thread, but is Rossiter really all that? Anytime I've seen him he's looked full Jay Spearing.

Also, seems like Teixeira's doing well at Brighton... What do the massive think of his long term prospects?

I don't think Rossiter was helped by being labelled a new Gerrard. I don't think he's anything like Gerrard. In fact he's almost the anti-Gerrard, because the one thing Gerrard's bad at - game intelligence and positional discipline - is actually Rossiter's main strength.

You've got a point though. He's certainly the least exciting wonderkid I've ever known. Look at his standout attributes: leadership, reading of the game, tackling, efficient passing, positioning. It's not a very sexy list. But by all accounts he does those things exceptionally well, and anyone who knows their stuff expects him to make it. And generally those sort of people are right.

Cool, cheers.

How does he compare to Jordan Williams in terms of ability, game-style, and first-team propensity?

Sinclair joins Wigan on youth loan deal
16th Mar 2015 - Latest News

Liverpool Academy forward Jerome Sinclair has joined Wigan Athletic on a youth loan until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old will join fellow Reds youngster Sheyi Ojo at the DW Stadium, with the Latics currently occupying 22nd place in the Championship table.

Sinclair has been in impressive form for the Academy this season, netting 22 goals at all levels, with his most recent strike arriving for the U21s against Chelsea two weeks ago.

In September 2012, Sinclair became the Reds' youngest-ever player at 16 years and six days, when he took to the turf at the Hawthorns during a League Cup victory over West Bromwich Albion.

The striker, who possesses explosive pace and a keen eye for goal, will now spend the remainder of the season at Wigan under the tutelage of Malky Mackay.

You'd actually love Rossiter. He represents everything you like about Lucas – his positioning, metronomic recycling of play, clever interceptions and so on – the kind of stuff that doesn't make for good youtubes but makes for a good midfield. I love watching him, despite his economy of footballing expression.

Oh, cool! I loves me a Lucas.
