Reported to be leaving for a bigger club regardless of where Swansea ends up.

How interested should we be?

Personally thinks he is worth a shot. He seems to be someone who performs when the chips are down and he takes an excellent set piece.

He chose Spurs over us ... Not sure we need to be giving him another chance unless everything goes to shit in the summer.

That's not a great attitude to have. I'd be more for giving him a chance to rectify the mistake he made last time. I think he's brilliant.

He was shite today

No he wasn't, he was a constant threat throughout.

Even when his team are constantly being beaten earlier in the season he always pops up with a goal or an assist. He doesn't hide and is constantly looking to make things happen. If we get CL we definitely need more legs.

He is a proven player and i would think would not cost the sky.

Coutinho and Lallana both play their best in a similar position to him.

I don't see where he would fit

I love scandos (Northern Europeans, whatever) and players who take good set pieces. He ticks both boxes, so it's a yes for me. Even though we have quality in his position.

If he's so brilliant why didn't it work out at Spurs?

Big fish in a small pond?

To be fair his stats at spurs were decent when he played. He just wasn't given much game time. He's more experienced now too and wouldn't be too expensive. We'll need a bigger squad next season. Our bench has been tough to look at sometimes this year.

2014–15 Premier League 32 7
2015–16 Premier League 36 11
2016–17 Premier League 29 8

Here are his appearances and the number of goals he scored in the League. Not too shabby for an AM and he doesn't seem to get injured. He has played over 172 league games over 5 seasons.

With Lallana, Coutinho, Mane and Henderson taking turns to be out he can slot in and do a job.

I've always liked him but I don't think he'll be worth it. We ended up paying 25m for a relegated Wijnaldum so there's no guarantee he would be cheap. Plenty of mid table teams would be after him.

How is he in open play? I only ever notice his goals or assists from set pieces. Does he contribute well in normal play?

For the fee Swansea would want its not worth it, and he's not good enough to improve us either.
