Sherwood sacked

not a fan of Timmy but it is impressive that he has made millions from getting sacked twice in a 15 month managerial career

He's a thick cunt but it is still ridiculous how fast teams are to pull the trigger (I exclude us because we were shit for most of last season too). Guess the tv money at the end of the season is too much for teams to contemplate a relegation fight.

I don't particularly rate Sherwood but he had naff all to work with there, got them to a Cup Final (don't we know it) a matter of months ago and IMO can count himself unlucky.

That said, the scuttlebutt seems to be pointing in Moyes' direction and I wouldn't be that surprised if it turns out that he does OK with them. Aston Villa's about his level.

Yep, agree with all that. Has to be said that Moyes is a step up on Timmeh but that cup final was an accomplishment for them - not the performance that day, mind, but they thoroughly outclassed us in the semi and he pulled them out of the relegation battle.

Oh well. I didn't see how he got the job in the first place.

The gilet effect was bound to wear off.

In fairness two things:

1 I was sober half an hour ago
2 I still make more sense than loads of sober fuckers.
While unable to verify the former the later is indeed the truth if you are referring to people round these parts

Do they really get that payout regardless of how they perform ? - I don't think it to be true, there must be some clause in their contract that says - you must win at least X number of games, and then if we decide to sack you we will pay you Y pounds. Can't be that simple that you get that payout regardless.

I'm not sure if there are any conditions in his contract, but it's being reported £2m from Aston Villa and I seem to recall Tottenham only wanting him for 6 months and him being able to push them to 18 months and £1.5m. He's a failure gold mine.

It would be whatever they could negotiate - terms of payout would be dependent on the leverage they had at time of signing. I imagine Fat Sam got a massive bonus written into his Sunderland contract if he keeps them up, for example.
