Pardew will stay ... Ashley doesn't care it seems ...

I know a Geordie who is quite well in with the barcodes. He told me the remit from Ashley for Pardew to get his bonus every season is to get tenth. They also have not bought anyone on a permanent contract for 18 months. Mental. Ashley paid off a load of debt and lent the club millions when he bought it. They have an owner who is both good and utterly shit at the same time. quite a feat.

Impressive strike rate by Levy!

All managers under Levy's reign (since 2001)

It will be if they get Rafa, he'll have that team pushing for 4th.

Yeah, I actually ment it though. Its a shame they've sacked him as he's the gift that keeps on giving.
I dont think Rafa will go there or be the one they'll approach.
Pocettinho, De Boer, Laudrup etc would be my guess.

I hope its Laudrup as he's a bit shite but the other two would improve Spurs.

Lost the dressing room: Several key players wanted to see the back of Sherwood's gilet
Tim Sherwood was sacked as Tottenham boss after top stars told chairman Daniel Levy: “He goes – or we do.”
Southampton’s Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax coach Frank de Boer are front-runners for the job, but Spurs will also consider a move for Real Madrid’s Carlo Ancelotti.
Had Sherwood survived, midfielders Paulinho, Sandro and Etienne Capoue, defender Jan Vertonghen and keeper Hugo Lloris are understood to have been prepared to quit White Hart Lane this summer.
Levy is ready to wait until after the Champions League Final between Real and city rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday week before moving for Sherwood’s replacement.
Levy said: “We appointed Tim mid-season as someone who knew both the players and the club.
“We agreed an 18-month contract with a break clause at the end of the season and we have now exercised that option.
“On behalf of the club, I should like to state our thanks for all his efforts during his years with us.”

Blimey, so the players said of two managers in a row, 'either he goes or we go'. I wonder how long Levy takes to figure out where this is heading?

In fairness it seemed pretty clear at the time that Sherwood was only ever a caretaker. He is fucking crackers, no wonder the players wanted him gone, he must have been a psycho behind closed doors.

That's the weird thing. Apparently he had a great reputation working with younger players, who you'd imagine someone like that would destroy. He was generous, calm and supportive. I wonder if it was more of a Souey-type scenario - old school pro reacts to over-paid current pros not caring enough by cracking up?

I can't help but feel that Sherwood might have played a part in the ouster of Villa-Boas, only to now be thrown out by the same renegades who helped to install him. 😉

Well the one you would think would be the biggest problem, Adeybayor , loved him, mind you he's barking mad too

Regards

Adebayor was out in the cold not getting sniff under Villas Boas so he was always going to be grateful to Sherwood for getting him back out on that pitch.

Sounds like theres a lot of bad eggs in that dressing room, the audacity of some of these players giving ultimatums and gobbing off in the press/twitter about not playing when they have been playing like shit takes the complete piss, its no wonder Sherwood looked like he had lost it at times, Pochettino and De Boer should give that job a wide berth, theres loads to sort out there along with knowing one bad patch of form will likely get you fired.

Makes you grateful that we have a sound solid bunch of players with a great team spirit all pulling in same direction.

Wonder how much money they're going to have to offer anyone decent to go there and take over after this little lot.
