During a lunchtime kick about at school I once chipped Micky Ingham, one time goalkeeper of Sunderland and Northern Ireland. There was stunned silence as I was shite at football. He really should have hung up his gloves then and there.

Hahaha.
Reminds me of a time when I was at a house party as a student in Portstewart years and years ago and some drunk Belfast guy was trying to tell me Mickey Ingham was better than Sander Westerveld. Strange times.
I seen Rivaldo when he was playing in Greece. He was crap. I seen another side of my wife at that game when she started effing and blinding at the players.
One of my favourite football memories is of Rivaldo when we beat Barca at Anfield during the Treble season. Yer man goes on a run at the centre of our defence which screeches to a juddering halt when he comes up against a block tackle from big Sami. 8)

If the house was paint like a humbug/Newcastle strip that was mine and Athensruairi's house. And the guy saying Ingham was the other fella who lived there. I'm pretty sure that's not the case.
Once saw Ingham getting beat Alonso style from the halfway line in a Irish league game. Another moment that he should have taken note off when considering his career.
