Are you going to renew?
Yes!

Even though at the moment, things are not looking good for next season.

Going to the match gets me out of the house and gives me the opportunity of a healthy walk to the ground. And another healthy uphill walk back, discussing where we went wrong.

🙂

I've just received my season ticket renewal document in the post.

(Last year's price in brackets)

Kop £732 (£634)
Anfield Road £774 (£673)
Main Stand/Centenary Stand £785 (£682)

That's over 15% increase on last year.

There was a noticeable fall-off in demand for tickets for League games towards the end of last season, with plenty of empty seats at the Monday night matches that were on ESPN. The management must have calculated that they will get away with a 15% increase, but I would guess that the waiting list will get shorter!

Cheers Portly. Thats an extra £100 a year. I'll be getting mine but I'm not happy that I'm paying more for an inferior product.

I'll be dropping Carling and Europa cup games as well this year.
Cup games aren't usually sell-outs in the early rounds as it is. If they whack the prices up in a similar way, which they will surely do, I can see some quite low attendances next season.

Online prices are thus:

Online - £732 Main Stand/Paddock/Centenary, £722 Anfield Road, £680 Kop

So not so damaging

When does it have to be paid by Portly ?
25th June.

I didn't spot the bit about the online savings. That's much better! 🙂

Themn - oh dear for the jester hat-scouser comment.

They are cheeky bastards charging £40 for Europa league thats the same as CL which is a much more recognised tournament!

The whole jester hat thing is famously recognised as an OOT trait, and Portly even gave a smiley face to indicate his joke.

Can you hear that sound ?

I wasn't specifically thinking of Out-of-Towners when I made the "jester hat" remark, which was tongue-in-cheek.

My point was that there may not actually be a legion of knowledgeable, young local men and women desperate to get their hands on the season tickets that we ancient fans with our thermos flasks and travelling rugs are depriving them of. When season ticket holders have not taken up their rights to buy tickets for the less attractive matches, the "new" people around me have not been that impressive. Besides the jester hats, some of them shout out rubbishy comments that indicate they do not know much about what is going on.
