Rumours going round are that Kop season ticket prices are going up from £632 last season to a whopping £790. Which represents a 25% rise. Apply that rise to standard tickets and you can expect to pay between £45-50 next year for a game.

If it's true the Yanks are cheeky fuckers.

No UEFA and League Cup games for me next year. I'm minimising my spend on LFC until those two cunts go or die.

Apparently, this is the first time in over 20 years that the season ticket renewals haven't gone out in May.

I don't know what this means but I'm sure there's some significance.

I only go 10-12 times a year, but if tickets go up that much you can half that amount.

Not that I'm particularly arsed at the moment.

The greedy yanks are milking the cows dry - there used to be 20 year waiting lists for season tickets at Anfield and Old Trafford but, even though both clubs insist there are still waiting lists, there are season tickets available to all-and-sundry next season.

Which might liven the atmosphere up at least.

It's needed shaking up for sometime. The crowd is too old, cynical, and there's not a enough young blooded Scousers coming into it, singing their heart out.

Obviously this isn't the right way to go about it.

Well, we will have to see. That would mean a rise of over two hundred pounds for me
Can't see it myself, particularly as last season for the first time in a long time a number of games were far from sell-outs

regards

I'll take anyone's season ticket if you wana get rid of it?

someone call anita's bluff.

I think everyone should withold their support from liverpool, don't bother to renew your season tickets. hit the yanks where it hurts, talk to them in the only language they understand; money.

like they give a fuck about protests with them being thousands of miles away.

You mean people in jester hats with their mobile phone in one hand and their digital camera in the other? ;D

Hmmmmm, how would you like to be sandwiched between me and Portly Neets?
[/quote]

I'm game for this if you are, Vlad.

It goes without saying that Anita would be, too. 🙂

They aren't Scousers, surely ?

Yes that'll work with a massive waiting list of people ready to snap them up

I would have to seriously consider giving mine up at that price. I had budgeted for £700. That is just too far. Especially considering the "product" we were sold last season. That is a joke.

I know loads of United fans who haven't sent their applications off to renew their season tickets and many of them are seriously considering giving it a miss until the Glazers fuck off.

It's perfectly true that people don't give up their season tickets (although they do often get passed on to their children) and many of us season ticket holders are getting on a bit.

However, I think it's a myth that a generation of strapping young Scouse super-fans are waiting to get hold of our season tickets. When there's a cup match and non-season ticket holders are able to get hold of tickets, many of them seem to belong to the "jester hat" category ...... not that I am being sniffy about them, there money is as good as anyone else's.

Net impact? Fucking zero.

Like it or not, the club means more to you, than you mean to them.

I bet you that if United don't start as well as they usually do this season then Old Trafford will not reach 70,000 on quite a few home games. Admittedly whilst they're still succesful they should fill the ground.

If Hicks & Gillett don't sell up very soon and we have a poor start to the season Anfield may see crowds of under 40,000. Do you not think these low crowds would worry the Yanks?

No.

I dont think it would cause them one single moment of worry.

I wonder. Surely one of the club's main selling-points is the loyalty of its fanbase. Anything even beginning to cast a shadow over that risks driving the purchase price down.

One would think so. I'll stick my neck out and say that Anfield will have a league crowd under 40,000 this season and Old Trafford under 70,000.

I first contemplated not going after they got knocked out of europe and prices for the uefa cup were just £1 less than ol' big ears.

Ridiculous.

Latest rumours are a 7% rise across the board and you have to renew it yourself online or get charged extra

I've just received my season ticket renewal document in the post.

(Last year's price in brackets)

Kop £732 (£634)
Anfield Road £774 (£673)
Main Stand/Centenary Stand £785 (£682)

That's over 15% increase on last year.

There was a noticeable fall-off in demand for tickets for League games towards the end of last season, with plenty of empty seats at the Monday night matches that were on ESPN. The management must have calculated that they will get away with a 15% increase, but I would guess that the waiting list will get shorter!
