BILD: Sead Kolasinac, whose Schalke contract expires next summer, could join Liverpool on a free transfer. #S04 #LFC

He should take to the Anfield turf quite nicely, not sure the groundsman would approve though.

From a 2014 Bleacher Report article:
He is an aggressive, buff, heftily built defender who makes bone-jarring tackles....Going forward, Kolasinac is uptempo, indefatigable and acts as Schalke's Duracell bunny, thus emulating Fuchs. Negatives: Kolasinac's frenetic approach to defending exposes him to being caught out when he fails to win the ball.

Apparently, he's known as the Bosnian Hulk

This is him taking out Pulisic on Saturday

He's actually much more defensive than Moreno apparently, and has often played as a CB. No manager, no matter how mad the fucker is, is going to play Moreno at CB.

From my current font of knowledge on this guy.....wiki:

Kolašinac is regarded as a defensive all-rounder which means that he can be deployed in multiple defensive positions.[11] In Kolašinac's Schalke 04 II career, he was deployed mostly as a centre back or defensive midfielder.[11] Schalke head coach Jens Keller has primarily deployed Kolašinac as a left full-back; a playing position in which Kolašinac has received praise.[11] Kolašinac is deemed to be physically strong and tough in his physique, clever defensively on the pitch and defensively consistent in winning one-on-one duels against his opponents.

The few times I've watched him he's reminded me a bit of Ivanovic, at least physically. Not the current shite Ivanovic obviously.
Seems like he's better technically and attacking wise mind.

I've been watching a fair few Schalke games recently, but honestly was too busy following the likes of Meyer and Geis (and Matip before that) to pay much attention to the left-back... silly me. Will try to scout him more next time. All I can say he's quick and didn't do anything stupid in that time to make me notice him more.

Some background info: born and raised in Germany, played for Germany U18 to U21 teams, but then chose his parents' country when it came to playing for the senior national team. 23 years old, 183cm height, can play at CB and DM in addition to LB. Doesn't score much, but already has a couple of assists in 5 games this season; despite his reputation as a tough tackler doesn't get many cautions and never got sent off yet. Seems to fit the same profile as Matip and Karius as a young player already with plenty of first-team experience – so far he's had 61 Bundesliga starts for Schalke and 17 games in Champions League and Europa league.

He reminds me a bit of Danny Rose for whatever reason, you can see exactly why Klopp would like him, he seems to love getting in quick and hard with a tackle, that would make him great for our pressing, he also has good technique and seeming a good cross on him. Based purely on a six minute video, I'm in.
