Oh, Im listening. I just dont agree that having played nearly 3/4 of every game including 2 serious injuries in 5 years is injury prone. If those parameters were used a loooooooooooooot of players would be injury prone.
Ok lets leave it at.............Pesam considers any player to have played only 72% of games over a 5 year period to be injury prone, Hansern does not.
Ha! Fine mate, nice summary.

He was able to train 2 weeks ago, he will be ready for pre season.

Fair enough, last I heard was that he wouldn't be ready until Sept/Oct, that was a while ago though.

It might be a bit different in the lower leagues with the games coming thick and fast, isn't it? If it had been the premier league, probably figures alone might give an overview. But with 46 league games to play, surely there were games where a player might be rested due to fatigue or packed fixtures, dropped due to loss of form, as well as suspensions - as defenders, they're 'more' vulnerable to being booked.

A look at his injury history showed these (since signing on 12 June 2009)

Hamstring Injury 2011 January 16th
Calf Muscle Strain 2010 April 30th
Thigh Muscle Strain 2009 July 1st

Since joining Birmingham, 3 injuries in 23 mths till date. Guess this is much clearer view of his injury proneness than pure appearance stats which are determined by various other factors.

Has he been out since January?

Out injured I mean
Yes, Jack.

Birmingham City defender Scott Dann is out of Sunday's big derby with Aston Villa with a hamstring injury, manager Alex McLeish has confirmed.

The centre-back had to be substituted at half-time of Tuesday's Carling Cup semi-final first leg defeat to West Ham United and is now facing a spell out of action.

The former Coventry City stopper had needed a fitness test prior to the Upton Park clash and McLeish has revealed the gamble on the 23-year-old has backfired significantly
.

Birmingham defender Scott Dann is set to miss the rest of the season through injury.

Dann suffered a serious hamstring problem
during his side's Carling Cup semi-final defeat to West Ham in midweek.

Scans have shown the full extent of the problem with the highly-rated defender now set to go under the knife to correct the injury.

The injury is likely to sideline Dann for up to four months and the news is a major blow for Birmingham as they battle to avoid relegation.

Jaysus, Agger is made glass.

Has anyone noticed that the team is becoming more and more Scouse?

Flanagan, Kelly, Carra, Gerrard, Robinson, Spearing

Incoming: Scott Dann, Barton?

We've also been linked with two interpreters: Adam and McCarthy. 😉

Exciting times ahead IMO.

Sunderland have enquired about Birmingham’s Roger Johnson — and have been quoted a £14million fee.

Johnson, 28, has 12 months left on his contract.

If this is indeed the figure they are looking for a player of such age and remaining length of contract, can't imagine how much they will quote for Scott Dann. :-\

10m. The reason they're asking for so much for Johnson is cos they know Dann is going.

We've officially enquired about his price & his contract & been told 10m. That is as far as things have gone so far. Utd & QPR have done the same. We're his preferred destination.

I like Dann, but 10 mill is waaay to much. 6-7 mill is ok.
10m is just what they've asked for though, I doubt that's what they expect to get.

Seeing that they want 14 mill for Johnson with 12 months left on his contract they are very optimistic to say the least..

Is Dann any better than what we have? With Carra, Skrtel, Agger, Wilson and Kelly I'm not convinced this is an improvement.

Agger?! Are you for fucking real?

He plays less games than Harry Kewell FFS. He's gone.

As for skittles, he takes two headers to clear the ball, head like a sheriffs badge, & has at least one disaster in him every match. Not for me ta.

We need at least one CB who can come straight in, Kelly needs more time at RB & to be blooded into CB bit by bit.

I quite like Skrtel actually but agree about Agger. However talented he might be (and I think even that is overrated) his injuries make him a liability, so yeah we do need a new centre back.

BIRMINGHAM are set to suffer another blow with the departure of key defender Scott Dann to Liverpool.

Birmingham boss Alex McLeish would have liked to base a Championship promotion challenge on his solid central-defensive partnership of Scott Dann, 24, and Roger Johnson.

But Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish is closing in on £8million-rated Dann, whose absence through injury in the final weeks of the season was a contributory factor to his club’s Premier League demise.

The Brum defender has played all his senior football in the Midlands, having previously been at Walsall and Coventry.

But the Merseyside-born ace is a Liverpool fan.

A move to Anfield would guarantee some lively banter, as his family are Evertonians.

McLeish has also lost the services of his highly-pregarded chief scout, Paul Montgomery, a decision taken above the manager’s head following relegation.

Wolves have been in touch with Blues about Roger Johnson.

No formal bid has been lodged, with talks at executive level centring around whether he would be available for around £6 million.

Blues, who paid £5 million to Cardiff for the centre-half two summers back, won’t do business at such a price.

More than twice that figure and then they might entertain an approach, but not at present.

Blackburn Rovers and Bolton are also thought to be monitoring Johnson’s situation, along with Sunderland.

Another of Blues star defensive assets, Scott Dann, has been subject of much attention, with Liverpool identified as interested suitors.

But Alex McLeish and the board are in agreement that Dann has to remain at St Andrew’s as part of a strong nucleus to underpin a Championship promotion push.

No you're not. There were others. I cant make a call because I dont know much about either of them.

Scott Dann has been in contact with LFC even before today. I am still sure Comolli thinks Sakho is still an option but Dann looks likely.

scottslater_Scott Slater

Scott Dann is the next target for Centre Back apparently.. #LFC

Is that how you treat a die hard Liverpool fan?

In my imagination he'll come back to Liverpool and suddenly turn into a world class defender because he's where he wants to be.
