Sarri Sacked?

Clauses in contracts have to be agreed upon by both sides. Can you imagine if we had approached Klopp with "fail to meet our expectations and we will fire you on a whim with no payout". Don't think he'd be here
Not saying whim, but there should be expectations of some kind on the manager. If reaching CL is an objective and they come 5th then if club decides to get rid then maybe a payoff should be made ... but of he finishes 16th with a aquad like Chelsea then nothing should be paid or very little.

I'd be surprised if lots of clubs don't have some kind of contractual stipulations about where they have to finish, certainly some players don't get bonuses - or even have paycuts - related to performance.

Would make sense if it was the same for managers I suppose.

Utd must have had something like that with Moyes - they waited until CL qualification was mathematical impossible, and then the day after that was attained they sacked him

Seems harsh to get the sack despite reaching 2 cup finals and finishing in the top 4 in his 1st season in charge.

Considering what he was up against and also that Chelsea team chosing to play well when they want. I guess they consider that the winning and successful formula ... manager not come first...mmmm...lets get another one.
