I like him. Didn't realise he had 33 caps. I remember him getting games under Aragonis but didn't realise he had 33 caps in total.
I saw Malaga linked with him the other day too.

i would love us to sign him, anything under 20m is a good deal. He's started every qualifier for Spain this campaign. Fantastic player, been watching him for years at villareal, started threads on him 3 or 4 years ago. just sign him, i love him!!!

When we didn't buy Wallcott or a plethora of other youngsters whom our rivals have bought for significant layouts, we were lacking ambition and falling behind. Now we've spent big on Henderson and are looking to further invest in young talent, we're being careless and have a poor system of identifying players (even though at least two of the players in question have also been linked with the Champions).
Can't win it seems, even with nearly two months of the transfer window left.

I havent watched a lot of his games, but from whatever little I have watched, I have to disagree with that. He appears to be one of those technically very good, intelligent wide midfielder with a reasonable ( but not stunning ) array of tricks. As keniget pointed out, a young maxi than a robben.
Very highly rated in the La liga and on the fringes of the Spanish national team. I think injury prevented him from being a part of the world cup winning squad.

Ah im past caring now tbh after holles post! I wont take them personally...guess we've never been linked with a player that I personally reckon could do a job for us before! I do sometimes dislike the way various players are dismissed so easily on here. Especially by people who have barely seen said player perform before, they just pass judgement to stick their oar in for the sake of it! But dismissing a player based on his nationality and personal dislike for players from that country is just pathetic from holle. Im sure Pepe Reina would be delighted. But as I said im past caring 😉

he is good, out of all the players we have been linked with he is the best..... by a mile.

He is very similar to david silva imo, and came on for him for last half hour of euro final. Came on in every game in that tournament i think, scored peno in shoot out too. Was injured for world cup. Pretty sure he has started all qualifiers for them this time round and scored two against the states the other week. great little player. isnt our policy now young and british though?
