I'm not sure rehabbing will be any worse than a 'rest'. There won't be anything too strenuous and the emphasis will be on fitness not stamina. It could even work in his favour - all assuming it's nothing serious. This is also annoying timing as Mo had already proactively pulled himself out of the Egypt squad for this international break and instead he'll be rehabbing instead of properly resting.
Well ignoring it isn't the solution either

And from the Robbo incident (whilst he wasn't really at fault imo, he did intitate contact on camera so could have been blown into a bigger issue easily). It was never a red. It was a smart deflection from klopp from the mane incident. Fergie used to do this all the time.

I dunno. Was "deflection" even needed?
The challenge was awful, and while that pen was deffo, ahem, "generous", and Mane went down late, and oddly (tortuous attempt from me to avoid saying "dive", there), it was hardly any kind of "travesty of justice" or blatant cheating.
I'd be interested in hearing DBs/Modo's opinion of the penalty. I'd like to know if they remain consistent on the whole "contact" line I believe they went with when Callejon of Napoli dove against us.
I love Sadio, but whilst he got fouled for a second, in my opinion he missed his window of opportunity to get a foul, and then he dived to the floor a second later. Thankfully the silly referee gave it.
For me, it wasn't too different to this:
Which was 3pts which helped City win a title.
I think the Callejon and Mane situations were both pens. Not sure about Silva, need to see a better angle.I'd be interested in hearing DBs/Modo's opinion of the penalty. Obviously to a degree subjective however the referee, VAR, Dermott Gallagher on the BBC (or Sky, making it 3/3 referees already) and at least half of the supporters on the Leicester forum linked to above somewhere, all agreed it was a penalty. Did Mane 'emphasise' it ? Yes - but it wasn't penalisable 'simulation' to use FA vernacular.I don’t think they were the same at all tbh. I agree with your assertion that Sadio didn’t go down when there was contact but rather after the fact and as such I dont think it was a penalty.
The meatheads who've abused him since then would have found something else to call him if he'd been white. They probably didn't even stop to think about the racial aspect (it wasn't a white player who was the victim of the tackle after all). Mind you, thinking about anything is probably quite a stretch for them.
I went searching for the abuse , and I think you're right about the above.
I found this article listing some of the abuse :
https://www.nitwikfootball.com/news/liverpool-news-racially-abuse-hamza-choudhury/
The first one appears to be an Indian LFC fan who hates Bangaldeshi's.
The second appears to just like the N word and has no obvious LFC fandom.
The third is a Nigerian guy who thinks he's allowed to use the N word because he's black.
The fourth appears to be an England based Muslim LFC fan.
The fifth one appears to be a Slovenian guy who also made comments about Ayoze's gypsy mother.
I was a little surprised by the above.
It was definitely a penalty by today's rules but yes I agree with those who say we'd be pissed off if it was given against us. Albrighton knew it was a penalty; look at the Leicester players reactions when the ref awarded the penalty, most of them ran to the ref appealing for him to check VAR, Albrighton didn't he just put his head in his hands because he knew he made enough contact for the penalty to be given.Obviously to a degree subjective however the referee, VAR, Dermott Gallagher on the BBC (or Sky, making it 3/3 referees already) and at least half of the supporters on the Leicester forum linked to above somewhere, all agreed it was a penalty. Would it have been given if he hadn't gone down? Highly unlikely, even if we all agreed it was a foul. Indeed I can't remember where I last saw a penalty given (not talking about sleeve pulling or being climbed all over) where the offended player didn't go to ground.
Racist ! 🙂I was expecting at least some stereotypical white Brexit supporting knuckle draggers.
Sounds mad to say this but Salah being out for a game or tow might be a good thing in the long run...his touch seems off lately even though he is posting decent numbers. Seen him misplace simple passes, snactcing at shots when he has time or trying to dribble through a million players before getting tackled. Sometimes as a player you get caught up in your head and it messes up your judgement, maybe some time on the sidelines, ()hopefully only for a game or two max) might help him long term wise. Plus I think we can beat United without Salah, I see Ox or Origi or Keita comming in.
Nah, I think your vastly underestimating the influence Salah has in games. He frightens oppositions. His pace and ability to isolate defenders scares managers into double teaming him which leave more space for Mane and Bobby.
He didn't have his best game the weekend and his passing was sloppy but if fit he plays.
You're right I should have added this but it's a given to be honest, yes he is very good, his pace and threat buttttt the mistakes sometimes appeared to the point where it seemed like he was being disposed and making judgement errors more so than ever before, almost to the point where it felt like he is a liability... Anyways I agree deep down I want Salah to play and be fit because he is still a massive massive threat but what I was saying is that there is at least a silvery lining in that if he misses one or two games in that he comes back better and focused that those judgement errors can sometimes be ironed out with a little bit of perspectives from the sidelines.Nah, I think your vastly underestimating the influence Salah has in games. My response to that is go back and watch the second leg v. Barca.
Tell me Mane didn't equally terrify them and I'll call you a liar.
Mane is also a terrifying proposition for managers and he was excellent against Barca. I agree with that.
We aren't better without Salah though which I felt mwake was alluding to above, although clarified in his next post.
