Jota should get Diaz to play some Fifa with him. With Jota, the route to goal is already plotted out before he even starts his move, he will just have to execute them.

With Diaz, sometimes I wonder if he kept on running simply because he doesn't know what to do next. Things happen just because his runs have to end at some point, not because of him.

Baros-like at times

It's bad. Salah is the only one I'd trust to finish that off and even then it's not so sure.

Owen, Fowler, Torres, Suarez, for sure - maybe Bobby. and Mane.
Nah Salah clean through is leathal. Salah at an angle with defenders closing him not so much.

By the way Salah’s first start back and he bags a goal and three assists.

Takes him to 32 goal contributions this season and he’s missed a bucket load of game due to injury.

Simply outstanding.

He is Liverpool Football Club for the last seven years!

Delighted he could get through the 90mins even if he wasn't meant to play the 90.

Klopp post match saying how he told Mo not to bother defending anymore after 60mins or something was hilarious 🤣

I think there will be renewal offer, it's whether he takes it or not?

It’s also whether Salah takes what offers might be in place or prefer to wait.

I don’t think he’s necessarily ready to leave European football.

With that in mind, and bearing in mind who could afford him - salary and transfer fee - who would we sell him to.

Not a lot of options - PSG would be the best, but even that might not be likely.

Everything that applied before his last contract still applies. If anything I would suggests there's even more grounds to extend yet again. He's demonstrating some amazing playmaking ability whilst keeping his numbers at the very top of the game. He's also going to want to stay around the Champions League far longer than the rumours would suggest. Talks of a move to Saudi are the perfect platform for any agent to negotiate terms. I suspect the reality is that Salah has been keeping a keen interest on the league, but seeing as its not taken off at all, will keep his head in Europe for now at least.

If PSG come in with crazy money then it might make sense to give the new manager a budget to rebuild the attack, but I think I'd sooner replace Diaz with more threatening and direct LW and extend Salah for another few years.

I thought Salahs language when he recounted Klopps departure might give his position away. He thought Klopps agent was there for renewal and asked why? when told he was leaving.

That could mean nothing but it also doesn’t sound like a man who was considering leaving. Of course the new structure might be keen to cash in and the Klopp love is leaving so Salahs thinking may now be very different.

I have always got the impression that Salah has a very keen sense of his legacy as a player, and wants to be seen as the best.

Therefore he will want to be competing with the best for as long as he can. That's definitely not the Saudi league.

So the choice is renew at Liverpool or look elsewhere in Europe. The fact that things are looking pretty good at Liverpool this season will probably push him towards staying, and given he is still our best forward, I hope he does.

i don't think he leaves us to go anywhere else in europe, unless he's massively underwhelmed by klopps replacement. He'll want to set as many records for us as he can while he can.

Then he can fuck off for an easy life

Forget Milner, this is the role model every single player at the academy looks up to.

I hope he signs on til he’s 36.

He’ll still be brilliant then.
