Not worth starting a separate thread but......................it looks like Saif Gaddafi will not face trial in The Hague but in Libya. The International Court said that they wanted the trial to be in The Hague but they're now negotiating with Libya for a trial in Tripoli with International participation/supervision.
This fits perfecty with everything I've read and been told. Apparently Gadaffi Jr. knows of too many skeletons in cupboards to stand trial in The Hague. It was suggested to me weeks ago that he'll never get to The Hague because Britain, France, Ireland etc don't want it because they're afraid he'll spill some machiavellian beans.
The 3 main "stories" I believe are being hushed up are Megrahi's release from prison (and what contracts were offered for the release), Libya's funding of Sarkozy's presidential campaign and Libya's long-term collaberation with the IRA and specific people within the IRA.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out now i.e. will he get a chance in a Libyan court to reveal some nasty little secrets or will he be tried and executed at the soonest possible moment to cover up any shenanigans.
