Hodgson's one of the nominees for manager of the year in The Guardian

I'm lost for words really.

Deserved

providing they mean only 2011, and not the season as a whole

i think to an extent he deserves it, he's done an outstanding job at west brom, the only problem is i think modern managers need to be able to adapt with the team at their disposal, rather than tryin to stamp their image on it, which unfortunately roy did with us, but it was simply a case of round pegs square holes

he is a twat tho

He's turned things around for himself for sure in a mid table, put out the barricades kind of way. But still shows how comical these awards are

He has done well since leaving us, no doubt. I also like that he hasnt been mouthing off to the press about us, as so many do when they get sacked.

Granted its a remarkable job done, esp. with just 2 defeats having played games against top sides - as well as his "Achilles heel" - away games, but if managers get considered for such accolades simply base on run of results then Steve Bruce for Sunderland's results in the first half of the season, David Moyes for picking up Everton after their dismal start to the season and McLleish for winning a cup competition (despite the current uncertainty over club's top flight status) etc will all be in with a shout. :-[

If the award was for 'being shit for half a season then wondering why for ages an doing everyones fucking head in an then getting getting the sack' then ovo Woy is winning.

He's done well with the Baggies, but this is as much a continuation of the media giving us the finger over our supposed "mistreatment" of him as it is a nomination for his own sake.

They're reasoning was totally flawed. They said if Dalglish could be nominated for half a season then so could Roy Hodgson. The clear difference is Dalglish didn't spend half a season ruining a decent club.

Roy did.

There aren't may who can do that, most seem to have a set of circumstances they work best in

That is flawed, cos Kenny didn't spend half the season fucking a club up before going on to half a season of (relative) success. Woy did.

He's done a brilliant job at West Brom.

+1

Fuck Roy Hodgson.

His win percentage for Liverpool was 35%; Kenny's is 63%.

Again, fuck Roy Hodgson.
