Any takers?
I would definitely sign him. Especially if we lose Can.
Everton are not in a position where they could refuse an offer from us.
The kid has a lot of talent, will be stupid of us to let Chelsea have him for next to nothing.

Why do you want him (beyond the he's got talent shtick)?

And how regularly does he get to play for us or Chelsea?

Call me silly, but i would take him too.
If anyone can unlock the talent, it's Klopp.

Everton would NEVER sell to us

Also, why would Everton sell to us and why would he come here?

It'll never happen.

He may have talent but he doesn't seem to have much football intelligence. He likes being Jack the lad too much. Anyway he wants to go to spurs.

Quick, Good passer, shooter, dribbler.
Great at running with the ball
Big, at least 185 cm. Might help us at corners.
Also he's a scouser.

I personally think that in the right system Barkley would flourish. He'd be perfect for our system. Yes, his defensive game needs to be improved and he needs to develop the tactical side of his game but he's only 23, there's time.

You're right he won't get into our starting line up as is, but with us playing in 4 competitions he will definitely get time on the pitch. It's a bit like Oxlade Chamberlain, a good squad option or sub.

No point in signing him apart from a massive insurance pay off. Bitters would be out to break his legs within 24 hours of signing.

You've started this thread before and you got told the same thing then
I did, but it's a different situation now. Many of the replies I got last time were that Everton wouldn't sell. They've been taken out of the equation now.

Like I said they're not a factor anymore. OK, sure if we want him in January we have to table a bid, but if they reject us, we can just circumvent them and ask Barkley to sign a pre contract agreement.

Barkley's very thick. When interviewed on TV, he is barely capable of human speech. That apart, he only turns it on for Everton when he is in the mood, which isn't very often. I wouldn't want to give Klopp this challenge.

Worth a punt at the low fee in Jan. The English premium will mean, we will make a profit on him in a few years

As well as being thick as shit in real life, he seems thick as shit on the pitch too

Dawdles with the ball, often picks wrong passes, shoots at stupid times

He's a YouTube player. Some wonderful stuff but 95% of the stuff is fucking shite

If being thick excluded you from the chance to play for Liverpool we'd be playing in the Evo-Stick Northern League

Where Wittgenstein won Most Valuable Player a record 12 consecutive years, including the two when he didn't even play and built a house instead.

No. Everton wouldn't sell to Liverpool.

That was the fucking point.

The idea that Everton 'wouldn't sell' to *anyone* is rather defunct, given they sold Rooney to Man Utd.

But again, you seem to be more interested in stoking up some kind of argument about the weird, regionally-charged tribal stupidity of the Manchester/Liverpool/ Everton rivalry, without having any valid or worthwhile collateral to add of your own, because you don't actually understand it, and never will

I hear Mignolet is very bright.

He's out of contract dude

Mignolet has a degree. That's not proof of intelligence. A cat could get a degree these days.

As for Ross "Bishop" Barkley, he seems another Everton youth product who emerged, like Rooney before him, looking like a cross between Stig of the Dump and a sixty year old. I don't know what they feed them at Finch Farm but it seems to produce great hulking teenagers whose bodies start to disintegrate by their early twenties. I wouldn't want him anywhere near this club.

I'd be livid if I was an Everton supporter. He has just robbed them of 30-odd million whilst he is going to be injured until January anyway.

Also, it seems like Rooney views his return to Merseyside as an opportunity to revert to being Jack the Lad. This must be worrying for Koeman.

Apparently an English club can't sign players in the same league on a pre contract in January, only foreign clubs. The only way we can sign him is if he decides to let his contract run out.

Fair enough, most of my mates say the same. I'd take the risk just to annoy the balls off my blue mates

I was surprised to read that Beardsley transferred to Everton after LFC. What was the deal there?

Other than that I can't think of any player that either set of fans gave a toss about transferring between the clubs. There's no chance Barkley, who is Everton youth, will want to play for us in a million years. You only have to see the violence and anger in his challenges on derby can to see he truly hates Liverpool. I wouldn't have it any other way, either

Yeah for a local lad and born and bred Everton supporter to leave the club on a free is a pretty cuntish move.

Something personal went on between Beardsley and Kenny Dalglish. Beardsley was still a very effective player, but Dalglish began to leave him on the bench, to the puzzlement of the supporters. The transfer to Everton came shortly after. I think Kenny just wanted him out of the club and wasn't choosy who he went to,

On a free it's kind of a no lose situation. If it works he has the potential to be really good player, if it doesn't then flog him for £20m in 12 months time.
