Ronnie O'Sullivan

Yep. The second one.

I used to like the guy. But now he just comes across as a bit of a tool, TBH. Probably not even his fault. It's just how I see him these days.

He can come across as a bit of a knob but he suffers from clinical depression Ffs. He is without doubt the finest player to ever grace the baize.

I do like him Red, I just see him going the self destructive way, it just seems inevitable. Typical prodigious talent that's going to burn out rather than fade away.

He's the Jimi Hendrix of Snooker mate. A genius with the cue (left hand or right hand) Sadly geniuses tend to have their demons.

Fair enough. Didn't know he suffered from that.

Although I'm just saying how he comes across.

I think he probably is a bit over-indulged tbh, but I like him. Sport needs charismatic geniuses like him, and he was the only reason to watch that particular sport the last few years.

There are hundred's of thousands of others who suffer from depression who don't come across as being complete cocks.

I don't know if he comes across as a 'complete cock' as you say. That seems a bit harsh. More like 'acting a bit of a knob sometimes' is how I would put it. How do you quantify these things though Pesam? Is a 'cunt' worse than a 'dick'? Or is a 'prick' worse than a 'bellend'? Questions to ponder me thinks.

The universally accepted classification of sex organs as insults.. Cunt > Bellend > Prick > Dick.

Surely a prick is worse than a bellend? I'm going with my gut here but I would say a cock is worse than a knob. What do you reckon? 😉

Hahaha, that reminds me, I was on Facebook last night chatting to a friend from Colombia, and she shared this link of some comedy routine and one of the words in it was 'twatted', as in being really drunk. So she asks me 'what does this word twaited mean?'

Hmmmm, where do you start with that? 'Well my dear, I beleive the original meaning comes from the noun "twat", which is....'

LOL - Well I suppose the lady in question living in Colombia might have understood the past tense of the noun 'coño' But this being used in a past tense verb term it would 'coño(ed)' - I've always quite liked the word 'twatted' although in my youth I'd have preferred 'cunted' - Age, it seems, cures all.

The lack of awareness on depression is very disappointing.

He has my utmost sympathy. Depression doesn't discriminate, it can get anyone at any time, rich or poor, celebrity or not. We don't choose to have depression and believe me I'd do anything to not to suffer. It's horrible and it can be like a living nightmare.

I wish him good luck in battling is demons.

Well said.

Until recently I had no clue what scope & true meaning 'depression' had. The term 'depressed' is used by people when they're having an off day, so people assume it's just feeling down & you can get yourself out of it.

The lack of awareness & even empathy for sufferers is a huge problem in this country, sadly.
