Full backs have both been targeted & we don't have a midfielder either side to cover continually because then we wouldn't be able to counter so quickly.

I'm pretty sure we'll score another couple if we continue to carry on playing like this.

Salah seems a little off the pace, Mane playing like a boss, but they scored one jammy goal, to add to their other one, and they seem to have no solution to us running at their defense. They let us do that enough, we'll score.

Ive seen them cope a lot better with being targetted. Sane targetted Trent and got fuck all.

Great result so far. Mane has been brilliant.

I'm still worried by how many opportunities they seem to be creating though. The final pass / touch hasn't quite come off for them yet but that could change. Our right side is a problem and now that Lovren is on a yellow - oof.

I'd also like us to stop this walking around thing we're doing when we have the ball in their half. I get why they're doing it but it doesn't suit us. We'd be better off picking up the tempo a little and just killing the game off.

Not sure which game some of you are watching (saying we've not played well) ? Nerves (yours) perhaps ? We've controlled this beautifully, of course Roma were always going to come at us but if the break isn't on then we control the game, passing around until a potential opening appears. When we talk about controlling games this is what is meant.

Mane - MotM so far. Superb and very unlucky not to have two. Firmino a little slow today and Salah maybe a tad too greedy, but not if he ends up scoring. Final score will be 2-4.

I get the feeling that we're conserving energy so we don't die on our feet in the last 10mins.

We also have time on our side. The longer it goes, the more desperate they will get. We only need one more and this tie is over.

Their only hope is Lovren does something stupid and gets himself sent off. I'd consider taking him off at half time.

We look slightly vulnerable in defence but are overall in control. They are having lots of space to whip their crosses in which is slightly worrying.

Karius has been decisive, it's good to see. The team seems tired, especially those that played against Stoke, hopefully we can keep the pace up.
