I would have thought Hendo would have been the obvious choice though, more photogenic, face of fifa, Captain of the club.

Yes. I have it for free & this is the first time in about a year I've watched it.

I don't even watch the youngsters on there. They're often not even on live, & the commentators are worse than shit. I prefer to catch the highlights online.

Face of FIFA? Do you mean the UK edition of the game? Hardly a huge honour, a guy I know was on the Irish edition of it last year, it's done by a public vote.
