Presumably to finally discuss the coaching changes, the transfers and the tour. Hopefully he'll deal with Sterling with a cool and dignified brevity. For once. It would be a mistake to stoop down to the level of the player and his agent, but their behaviour shouldn't be completely ignored, either.

The plonker that Brendan is, he won't "stoop" so low. Don't think he ever has tbf re: players and agents. They'll be plenty of Brendan's phrases out on show though, passion, commitment, endeavour blah blah

I heard he is going to explain how the add-ons work

Yep. He has the details of each one in a gold envelope. Ayre will play a drum roll as he opens each one in ascending order, ending with the one about us getting £500,000 for the first three changes of hairstyle.

Reading Mr. Moo's posts, it just reads like it did when Kenny was here. Are you this miserable in real life too?

It has all the makings of Brendan's most wriggly presser ever. 'I know I said may times that Colin and Mike were absolutely essential to what we were doing here, but it suddenly occurred to me a month or so ago that they were inessential, so I've brought in some really essential people to replace them. This was my decision entirely'.

'Raheem is a lovely kid, he really is, and we had a great relationship, even though he said he would have stayed if I'd have gone. I think he's one who proves how much young kids appreciate the effort you put into their development as kids. You get back all that you put in, and more, that's for sure, and that's why I'll keep doing it. We can look forward, hopefully, to a long line of young kids biting the hand that feeds them. That's the plan we have here, anyway'.

'Last year we brought in a few players who needed a wee bit of time to learn how we do things here, and get used to the league, and become educated in our systems. That's not what we've done this time. We've got Milner this time. And also a few players who'll need a wee bit of time to learn how we do things here, and get used to the league, and become educated in our systems. I think, as a result, we'll click much earlier this time. Probably around November time',

Yeah what a knob he is using passion and commitment when talking about football.

I may be forgetting 1 million examples to the contrary, but for me (#brendanism) Rodgers' press conferences and comments have always been better when he's on the defensive, backed into a corner, or justify why certain decisions have been made.

The way he publicly handled the Suarez thing last year, the defeat to Stoke, going out of the CL, etc. He seems to fuck the verbosity off and get to the crux. If anything he comes across more ballsy and patriotic when he's on the defensive. It gives me some confidence that he'll handle this Sterling issue well.

It's when we're on a roll and his confidence is up that he makes a tit of himself. Banging on like a fucking fruit about models, and techniques, and young Coutinho, and expressions on the pitch. He's fucking insufferable at those times.

My guess is he'll come across ok in this press conference cos he knows we've had our full of his shit, and that he's got some decent explaining to do,

He's going to take flak on here irrespective of what he says. You can write the comments now...Macca already has.

,

Very good point. I think he'll need to out-wriggle himself this morning to explain the 'review' that went on, but you're probably right, he'll probably do better than feared.

Yeah what a knob he is using passion and commitment when talking about football.

Not called him a knob. Just tiresome with all the brendanisms after a game, when the majority of the time last season we all know it was the complete opposite to what we witnessed.

Find a manager that doesn't do that!

I imagine a fair bit of it is down to his growing with the club, this guy was a midtable premier league manager prior to 2012. He's still got some learning to do, plenty of firsts to come.

Don't get too caught up in his media naivety. I'll reserve judgement for the season and the football his side is playing
