A few random quotes taken from twitter really, but the Times has the full articles. A few weeks ago they talked with Rangnick and he said stats showed most goals are scored in the first eight seconds after you lose possession.

Carragher today was quoted as saying Rodgers training focuses on drills that involve winning the ball back within 7 seconds of losing it.

We know Rodgers prefers to press teams, but will an approach like this work with our largely immobile squad? Does it make sense in the abstract? Or is getting bodies behind the ball straight away a better idea?

We might be in for a painful season of transition with a thumping or two along the way.

AVB tried a high pressing game last year (admittedly with a reluctant squad) and was lambasted. Let's hope Rodgers is afforded some patience from players, fans and media alike.
