Rodgers decided on all LFC signings - Ayre

I think you might find if you bother to look closely, I've been on this site since 2008. So whoever you may want to accuse me of being, please stop. You have chased away too many a good poster on here and how you are a mod is criminal.
What good posters has he chased away? Not a defence of Mark, he doesn't need anyone defending him. I'm just curious if you have a list of the good posters he's chased away?

Ayre is such a tool, he doesnt even bother to make his lies believable.

Cant wait for his next interview where he lifts the lid on the Balotelli transfer and tells us that he was always against signing Mario but Rodgers bullied him into it so its not really his fault at all

So I was at the web summit, and was in the room, for this. It was good, and he really overstated that the manager was the man, and n his view there wasn't a committee, just a group of people supporting the manager.

He's also misleading about the scouts. Scouts are mainly there to find promising talent and bring it to the attention of the manager, long before he needs it, so he can reflect on the player and think of where he might play him, get info on his character, etc etc. They're not there to race off and have a quick look at shortlisted players because the manager is too busy to do it himself before making a decision. They're not there to 'narrow it down' for the manager. Everything he says, in spite of his best efforts, portrays the manager as this passive figure, waiting for advice to land on his desk.

Klopp is such a strong character that you have to guess that this would now be the case, with them supporting him, rather than providing alternatives that are an either/or in the instance of the managers first choice player not being viable.

Klopp has already drew the line in the sand on this and made is clear he has final say, so the snake Ayre has probably said "oh yeah, that's how it always was", which is clearly fucking bullshit.

You'd hate to have Ayre and his mates doing your shopping for you. 'Erm, you asked for smoked salmon, erm, we sort of got that - we got fish fingers. And we couldn't find the fillet steak so we had a look around and found these amazing things called All Day Breakfasts - in a can! Everything - in a can!!! And I know you wanted a bottle of Pol Roger but we spotted a real bargain - something called Asti Spumanti, same bubbles and colour, thirty quid cheaper!'

To be fair that's what happens ever time Asda does a home delivery.

I cant even be bothered about this tbh. Klopp doesnt strike me as the kind of manager that will be satisfied if he's given an alternative between Eto'o and Balotelli.
So the set up is probably working now as Ayre explains it in. At least to some degree like that.

What happened earlier with Rodgers and internal politics I couldnt give a rats ass about anymore. Its history, we've moved on and so has hopefully our ability to overpay for the wrong type of players.

To be fair to Ayre, the manager has a part to play.

If all the manager does to shortlist players is to read the papers (or go to Swansea) for the EPL's flavour of the month, then you can't blame the committee for being a bit more 'proactive'.

Whereas if someone like Rafael Benitez asked to get Alonso, I don't think Transfer Committee would stand in his way.

I can't name a single player that BR wanted but didn't get. We just don't know enough to make that judgment.

Dempsey was one, Bertrand and Ashley Williams were others according to most of the journalists with Liverpool connections

Even cloggycunt and IQ75 wouldn't bother contesting the matter now.

Seriously, we all need to take a second to just appreciate just how awful these nicknames are, it's like they're straight out of the inbetweeners, I expected better from you PeterHillbilly.

It's like Pete has been trying to reinvent himself this last year. The nicknames, the self-aggrandising - it's all a bit like Brendan, only without any of the wit or humour. So all that really leaves us with is the ego.

Yeah Peter has gone awfully dull. His existence on the forum has been reduced to proving his apportionment of blame for transfers is correct.

Chased away might be too strong, but I have wondered whether or not KHL would have stuck around if it wasn't for Mark.
