This guy needs a mention 27 goals in 28 games
Is he in the Henry catagory probably not but it aint bad, he's definatley shone since Fabregas & Nasri left the gooners
The arse would be fooked with out him.. and he's dishing plenty of points out in the dream team 🙁

Amazing player and unplayable on his day

His day has turned into a year this time though!

28 in 27 I thought?

Yup you're right

I think

He's been phenomenal - one wonders how much better he'd be if he wasn't so injury prone. The Gooners' season rests on his health - if he stays healthy, they'll push along in their fight for 4th. If he doesn't, they'll struggle.

Thankfully every recent Gooner captain has upped and left to make more money elsewhere , RVP has 2 years left and isn't discussing a new deal with Arsenal.

[/quote]Ooops sorry guys, still emense but he's due an injury any time soon..

He's brilliant and has been for years.

The only problem is that he only ever seems to be fit for half a season.

Had Wenger have had him and Vermalen fit the other year, they'd have won the title I reckon.

Shame he's a gooner, rapist and nazi.

thierry henry reckoned he was the most skillful player at the club back in his arsenal days

so left footed its ridiculous but so good it doesn't matter

Yeah he's a cracking player. I used to always pick him for my fantasy football teams but he kept getting injured. Backed him for top goal scorer in the last week too but he didn't have the best tournament. He'll get injured again soon anyway and Arsenal might struggle.

I had a drunken argument with 2 arsenal mates on Saturday night who claimed he was the best striker in the premier league. I said it was Rooney.

Who's right?

RVP is carrying his team right now, something Rooney has never had a chance (nor will he need to). It's an impressive run of form. They're both really good but if I had to pick one of 'em, I'd probably take Rooney (health does account into decision)

Rooney, because I think he's consistently been the fulcrum of a title winning side. Van Persie is a top, top striker though, when fit obviously and that's why he'll probably not be considered at the same level unless he manages to overcome these injury issues.

You are.

It's a difficult one because I think Van Persie hasn't had the luxury of spending the last 3/4 years fully fit in a top, top side.

I've always thought that had he have not been plagued with injuries he'd be viewed as one of *the* top players in the world.

I'd say Rooney is probably the better all round player, but Van Persie is a better striker.

Rooney is. RVP is having a great year and when fit has shown flashes he has amazing finishing but he get injured to often to prove he can do it consistently.

Rooney has pretty much done it non stop for 3/4 seasons now for Utd.

RVP has always been a super talent but injuries have prevented him from getting his due recognition. A fit RVP will score goals for fun.
