Rumours of him moving to Newcastle seemed to grew lately. Haven't seen enough of him to comment but at 21 years of age, he does seem like an exciting talent at a decent price.
 
That never comes off though.

I remember we made a 9 million bid for Defoe a few years ago ON deadline day.

I'm getting to the point where I don't care which striker we fucking sign so long as he's better than N'Gog (not difficult) ! Anyone will do, just can't bear the thought of N'Gog as back-up for Torres again this season.

Indeed baffling, Jan. And the Palermo squad's pretty much weakened compared to last season. Decision based on finance? 9 in 11 is stunning form and just 2 off his season total for 2009/10.
