Bruna and ince move closer to the out door

Skysports.com understands that Blackpool have agreed a deal to sign Liverpool youngster Gerardo Bruna.

Holloway: Expected to sign Bruna

Seasiders chairman Karl Oyston confirmed earlier this week that the Championship club were closing in on a deal for Bruna, along with team-mate Tom Ince, after skysports.com revealed their interest at the start of the month.

A deal is now thought to have been struck and Blackpool are expected to announce shortly that Bruna has moved to Bloomfield Road on a two-year contract.

The Argentine midfielder, 20, has yet to break into the Liverpoolfirst team but is a regular in their reserve side.

He is regarded as an exciting prospect for the future, having been with the Reds since 2007, and will be hoping to develop further with Ian Holloway's side if the switch is confirmed.

What a career - Real Madrid, Liverpol and now ..... Blackpool

Premier League trio withdraw youngsters from England duty

Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City all stopped key players from travelling to Colombia — depriving the 23-man squad of nine players, only
one due to injury.

England kick off their campaign in two weeks against North Korea in a tournament which is not part of FIFA’s official international calender,
meaning clubs are not obliged to release players.

Liverpool have pulled out Jack Robinson and Andre Wisdom but have allowed Michael Ngoo to join up as a replacement.

Former Manchester United duo, Scott Wootton and Nick Ajose, have been held back by new club Peterborough, while City’s Alex Nimely was withdrawn, as was Arsenal’s Benik Afobe.

Dont see the point especially regarding Wisdom and Coady.

Blackpool FC can confirm the signing of Liverpool's attacking midfielder Gerardo Bruna on a permanent deal.

The Argentine, who is currently training with his new team-mates, arrives on a two-year deal with the option for a further year.

he came with quite the reputation but as far as i could ever gather, never impressed at any stage. it's been years since anyone considered him any kind of prospect for the first team.

i remember him coming in with great excitement, he did well for a bit and then got injured. Heard not much else after that. Fair enough if he didn't progress as much as expected

Sounds very familar. Seems to happen with a lot of our youngsters.
He was good at set pieces, that much I do know.

Gerardo Bruna is hoping to make the number 10 role his own at Blackpool after completing a permanent move from Liverpool.

The 20-year-old Argentine originally arrived on Merseyside in 2007 from Real Madrid and carried the difficult tag of being labelled the 'next Messi'.

But the attacking midfielder is very clear in wanting to make a name for himself and hopes to pull the strings for the Seasiders in the Championship.

"A Spanish newspaper called me the next 'Lionel Messi' but I play in a very different way - I play in the hole, in the number 10 role behind the striker and he is very much a winger or a striker," he told the official website.

"I think because we took similar paths - we both moved from Argentina to Spain when we were young - that this label came around.

"I just want to make my own way, I'm Gerardo Bruna, I don't like to be compared with anyone - this is just the media.

"I love to play in the number 10 role and play in between the lines and play the final pass and score some goals. I've spoken with the manager and with some hard work I'm confident that I can play some games.

"It is a good squad here with a lot of good players and I can't wait to play with them on the pitch," he added.

Very lightweight. Adorjan and Pacheco are both considerably better at that role. Suso showed 10 times more potential in 3 games than Bruna showed in 3 years.

Duran came in at the same time and looked much better.. unfortunately plagued with injuries.

I reckon we offered blackpool several players we were looking at releasing

Mavinga believes he has made the right decision in leaving Liverpool, with it important for him to experience regular first-team football at a crucial stage of his development.

He told France Football: "Indeed, I will be at Rennes early this week. I have been in contact with the club since mid-June and I now need to have medical examinations and sign a contract.

"Why don't I try and make a name for myself at Liverpool? Firstly, I only have one year remaining on my contract at Liverpool. Secondly, because I am 20 years old, I want to become established at a club. I don't want to play one season and then leave.

"I am now going to take in my fourth club and it is the right time for me to start planning long-term.

"I learnt a lot at Liverpool, most notably about attitude. There I understood that you have to be 100 per cent in matches and in training sessions.

"I don't regret any choices I have made in my career so far. I hope things will continue to progress at Rennes."
