Clearly that won't happen Gary.
Why would Reina accept being second choice and why would the club pay their back up keeper (the cushtiest gig in sport) £110k p/w?

It's possible - Downing was a 80K sub/fringe player in and out of the lineup for half a season, as was Skrtel (probably earning around there after his new deal?). I like the idea of bringing in a cheaper and younger keeper to understudy Reina for half to a full season - someone who is also capable of displacing him after that period and which then enables us to move Reina on after that.
