Realistic goals

This might be too much down the 'rose tinted glasses' road.. but one of our problems has been breaking down teams who try to contain us. There is a lot of press about our defence (mostly rightly so) - but our losses have come against the top 2 teams in the league.

If this means that mid table teams/ relegation teams are more likely to try to 'have a go' then i think that plays into our strengths of hitting them hard on the break. Could Huddersfield fall into this trap after their win vs United and watching us against Spurs..
Nope, Huddersfield will play the same way they did against the mancs. They only had 29% possession and that was at home. They will play the same way like all the other smaller teams do when coming to anfield and will sit back and stay compact and hit us on the break or a set piece.

I think that Klopp is the only person who can understand how Moreno is starting over Robertson. It's fucking bonkers.

Yeah, Moreno has been a pleasant surprise so far. He's been pretty good over the last month.

As for season goals, top 4 isn't out of the question. City, United and Spurs look favourites for top 3, but 4th place could be up for grabs with Chelsea struggling for consistency.

I'd hope for something like the quarters in the CL. Teams who make good CL runs are always attractive destinations in the transfer market I feel.

Don't really care about trying to win the FA Cup. I don't think the squad has it in them to try and win it, and we'd take too much out of it by trying to focus on that competition.

I'd prefer if we try and consolidate ourselves as a top 4 team, and continue to build a stronger squad over the next couple of transfer windows.

Can't see us finishing any higher than 4th and anything less than CL qualification means someone should be losing their job - Klopp or Edwards.... or both.

We're not going to progress if transfers & tactics are fatally flawed - one or the other needs to be successful.

This season has gone balls up. Would be happy at this point to finish top 4 and get out of the group stage in Europe. Thrilled for an FA Cup semi-final and CL quarterfinal. It makes me sad to type that but I fear results far worse.

Moreno almost cost us the points v Leicester with some terrible defending, but he's been alright so far. Still, you know he'll make a bonkers mistake sooner or later like Lovren and Ming will.

I would prefer Milner back there as he's much better in the air, a better defender and well... he's got a brain.

Yea I believe we will finish 3rd more likely 4th and get to the fa cup final we will have a great second part of the season

Top four is still possible, but the reality is that this slide doesn't have to go on for that much longer before it starts to look remote.

There's a lot of teams competing for fourth again this year, it's a shame we look to be playing catch up again the year after we had supposedly caught up.

I would have taken top 4 before the season started. I think we need Chelsea to fall to pieces for it to happen now otherwise the top 4 will be as is now.
