Did anyone watch the Milan V Spurs match last night? I think it was Sky's attempt to replace Gray with Wilkins as a co-commentater. Personally I thought he fucking awful! Possibly some of the most banal musings I have ever heard watching a football match. Not to mention massively biased! referring to 'Crouchy' all the time. :🙂 I'm not Gray's biggest fan by any stretch but he makes Wilkins' insights on the match look like some spotty teenager talking about the game down the pub!

I thought Souness was quite funny after though. Calling Gattuso 'a little dog'

Wilkins was a boring player and is almost equally boring as a pundit. I can't abide Gray or Keys but I wonder whether Sky will come to regret junking them.

He was fucking awful.

they are struggling big time if they have to resort to using Wilkins and Hoddle

He was fucking thick.

He was pontificating that Pienaar chasing balls down on his own goal line demonstrating his work ethic was the main reason that Harry had included him in the team , it's a pity he got his corn braids muddled up as it was the Spurs left back , is his name Ekotto?
Other than that he kept calling decisions wrong, and was just generally very boring and wrong.

regards

Ha! I forgot about that!

Nah they couldn't pay Jocky enough to leave the golf course. I know this for a fact as ITV tried a few years ago! Turned them down flat! And besides Jocky isn't a co-commentator like Gray - More of a pundit. They are gonna end up getting Robbie Earle at this rate!

Lawro might work maybe?

What about Souness?
Good as a pundit but co-commentator? Nah.

I meant as the pundit sorry.

I just wouldn't have a co-commentator.

Sinstadt didn't need one.

Coleman didn't need one.

Davies didn't need one.

I don't need some self important twat to tell me their opinion on everything. I'm not interested in their opinion.

Marcel Desailly would be decent in Grays old role, or maybe they could nick Hansen from the BBC?
fucking hell lol Desailly, he has all the enthusiasm in the world coupled with only a basic grasp of english i can't cope with him at all.

i like Gerry Armstrong, he's got one of those recognisable, trusted voices and knows his stuff

I remember Desailly on BBC at some African Nations game banging on about how for a Ghanaian nothing was more important than the Ghana national team and how no one else understands, or could understand the significance.

That's why he chose to play for France then.

Yea i remember that, he was like a big kid being swept away with excitement but not realising how he was making himself look.

Haha, well his decision led to him winning a World Cup and a European Championship. I do like Desiailly as a pundit.

Dixon is the best though. Him and Ginola were funny on MOTD2, although they did keep touching each other, which was a bit odd.

Yes, how odd for Marcel to be born in one place, move to another for whatever reason, choose to represent that place at sport, yet still have connections to/feelings for the place of his birth.

What a complete cunt that makes him look.

But not really.

Each to their own i guess mate. I really enjoyed his pre match stuff when the BBC got him involved.

i like desailly as well.

I don't really know why anyone gives a smelly fuck who "summarises".

They'll be despised, regardless.

Hardly up for the running as a pundit or co-commentator, Adebayor came across well too.
Tell me you're kidding. His English is even harder to understand than Desailly's.

I suspect it's because he has at times shown a touch of Lawrenson Disease, namely making every call against us when covering our games, but my impression is he's eased off on that lately. There are worse out there IMHO.
