My recollection of the game is that Bale came more into it in the last 20 minutes. I thought Kuyt was very poor from an attacking point of view, but defensively he did a decent job keeping the shackles on Bale.
I thought Roy should have left Kuyt wide and maybe brought Babel or Jova in up front

i thought defensively kuyt was lackign tbh. Normally he pressures more but i can't remember him anywhere near bale at any stage in the match. I would have took him and n'gog off and brought on aurelio and jova. it would be interestign to see what jova can offer up front

Reina(6): A couple of shaky moments but can't be blamed for either goal. So close to saving the 2nd too.
Magic(6): I thought he did well agaist Bale. Didn't offer much going forward this time but in a match like this it's understandable.
Carra(7): Started with some shaky moments but after that I thought he was our best defender. Let's see how we cope without him...
Skrtel(6): A goal in each end although there was an element of luck involved in both of them. Solid enough.
Konchesky(2): Was our worst player by far.What a useless piece of meat he is. It was embarrassing to watch at times and his positioning for the winner was shocking.

Meireles(8]: Was our best player by far imo. Had a cracking shot go just wide in the 2nd half too. MOTM
Maxi(6): Very very disappointing as he had a chance to be a hero. The good thing is he is starting to form a very good understanding with Torres. The bad thing is he chokes everytime when clean through.
Kuyt(4): I'm a big fan of Kuyt but he was shocking yesterday. His passing was all over the place and even defensively he was way below his best.
Maybe he was tired? The way Assou-Ekotto skinned him with Dirk barely making an effort to stop his run was very uncharacteristic of him.
Ngog(3): Actually he runs Konchesky pretty close. The handling for the penalty was utterly moronic(although the replays seemed to indicate it should have perhaps been a free kick instead?) and did nothing in attack.
Torres(6): A class above our every other attacking player. Shame his finishing wasn't there this time but my god how big a burden he is carrying atm.
