Suarez - 9 I can't believer any sane fan is debating motm. Take what Torres did in his first game against Utd and treble it. Make no mistake if he wasn't there we would not have scored today. He was fucking unbelievable. That first goal was as good as your ever likely to see at Anfield. Never stopped the whole game. Had about 47 thousand nutmegs. Kept going and going. Kuyt will get the headlines but this man was ahead of all.
Well, that's settled that.

I take it you agree with me now, JJ?
Ha. Sky generation or what.
I was willing to talk it over with JJ but you're about as cultured as my beer turd from this morning, so you can fuck off.

You're right though, only someone who watches sky would think that the hat-trick scoring player could possible be motm.

You are properly dim. What on earth, does the Sky generation term have to do with this argument.

If you score a hatrick against manure you don't just deserve to be MOTM - which you do - you should be sucked off by the rest of the players wives. But yeah, that bit might be a little bit sky generation.

just to throw into the sky generation thing....

only 3 players have scored premier league hattricks against united apparantly

Fabio, can you confirm or deny if the wags sucked the other two off?
i'll have to ask opta

Ha ha ha.

"sky generation" is the stick to beat down the opposite opinion

anyone who says suarez was motm is simply panderin to skys need to have tippy tappy bellends play for everyone

I reckon my mate's wives should be sucking me off just for being there. Imagine Dirk's bedtime requests.

GlenJo - 7 - a solid game defensively
GlenJo? Ahahaha. What the fuck.

Reina - 6.843. Thought he was solid, though that long kick that fell just short of Kuyts head means he scored a 6.843 instead of a 6.987.

GlenJo - 10. GlenJo

Carra - 8.01. Great game today.

Skrtel - 6.184. Yes.

Aurelio - NaN. Says it all, doesn't it? SmH. OMG.

Lucas - 7.88. Sound game. Needs to add goals before he can be considered an LFC player though.

Gerrard - 7.45. Only just shaded by Lucas in midfield. Needs to add some goals to his game though.

Maxi - 6.5.5. Quiet today. Didnt look like he fancied the intensity of the occasion. Any other game he'd probably have scored a 6.8.5, or maybe a 7.1.0 if he scored. Not today though. No place for players shitting out so take your 6.5.5 rating and learn from it.

Meir(e)less - 9. Great game. Only thing stopping him getting a 10 was the lack of a new tat. Rumour on twitter though is he was subbed off early cos he was due at Design4LifeTattoo in Old Swan. Any confirm this?

Suarez - 10. LuSu is the man. LUSU!!

Kuyt - 9.35 - take a cow son. Look after it and milk it well. She'll reward you with goals. Gerrin there!

Subs:

The Greek - 6.99. Good.

Carroll - 9.95. Wouldn't argue with him.

Cole - wtf?

I can think of a few who might object to that .... Sol, Justin and so on.

LoL @ Rootkit

I like when there's aguments about who was the best against United. Both players have valid arguments to be MOTM, I give it to Kuyt, but I can understand others views on Suarez. For me goals it's nearly always the swing factor in these votes.

They are. The question is whether they ought to be. The pundits on MOTD2 last night all went for Suarez and IMO rightly so.

I do agree though that it's great to see differing views on this - always a good indicator of the team having done well.

Firstly, Im not following you about this place.

Secondly, since when has Lawro's opinion held any clout ?!

When others who are sensible (including Colin Murray, who's a Red) agree with it.

Besides, even a broken watch tells the right time twice a day. 😉

Murray actually annoyed me last night whilst talking about the match.

Especially his bashing the referee, Which lead to referee thread.

Any fule know the Hansen- Shearer combination is the ultimate in MOTD punditry!

While I picked Suarez, I think that is the key though - it's him or Kuyt who were the MOTM ...

I had Suarez. Dirk was absolutely in the right place at the right time and did a huge amount of work off the ball as well. Deffo one of his best games this year. But Suarez was pure class, put two on a plate for Dirk and brought something to Liverpool that's been massively missing and that's both creativity and unpredicability

Aye, I don't think we've really had that since Garcia, other than the moments of brilliance that Torres initially gave us.

relax yourself. i'm doin the exact same thing that people using the "sky generation" thing as a stick to beat down kuyt supporters to beat down the suarez ones. i dont' fuckin care who was man of the match. the good thing is we have 2 players deserving of that accolade against the scum.

the sky argument thing is just an excuse for hyperbole and everyone knows it. it's a disrespectful argument to use. Why is someone who had to be in the position to slot the goals someone who only "the sky generation" should deem as man of the match

Shearer is the dullest pundit on earth. I'd rather have my eardrums perforated than listen to that twat.

I have to pick you up on that one Jules, I have a broken watch (the hands are broken off) and it's never right.
