Here we go, another lot of RAAAAAATINGS, for yet another deeply disappointing game. There is increasingly little point in me giving my own analysis and opinions, as I would simply be highlighting and repeating the observations I made weeks, months and a year ago.
Mignolet (5) Moved like he was in treacle for the fluke Joselu goal, and his palsied kicking was once again comical. Had little else to do, really.
Gomez (4) Had a decent enough first half, and got through plenty of work up and down the wing, but his passing and delivery of the final ball was mediocre. Fell apart in the second half, and made some dreadful, basic errors. Not good enough yet. Where the fuck is Clyne?!
Matip (4) He's not the quickest, we all know that, but it was still a bit painful watching him chase the less-than-quicksilver Joselu, and then putting a tackle in that ended up rebounding off the lucky striker and roll into the net. He should have been aware enough to play Joselu offside in the first place, but as is his wont, was fucking half asleep. It's really quite hilarious that this dozy clown is actually our best CB.
Lovren (4) Perhaps not quite as culpable as his dopey CB partner for the simple pass from Shelvey that bisected the two of them, but he was culpable for the typically brainless passes into touch, and is a reckless foul in the waiting. A jittery fucking donkey.
Moreno (6) Our best defender, once again. Seems weird to write that, but there it is. He handled the dangerous and rapid Ritchie well, but there was still an erratic and dangerous edge to his game - not in a good way. It is only a matter of time before it blows up. But, credit where it is due, he's had a fine start to the season.
Henderson (5) Never shy of putting in the hard yards, and he was always moving and busy, but once again he lacked enough forward momentum and his passing was ordinary at best
Wijanldum (2) The Shithouse Ghost put in one of his typically ethereal displays. I'm not sure if Klopp is trying some kind of spiritual experiment in trying to make Wijnaldum the first noncorporeal central midfield player, but this was a fucking gutless horrorshow and I've had enough of the cunt. Fuck off.
Coutinho (7) Another splendid goal from the magical Brazilian. Plenty of work and invention, but he seems to be operating on a quality and intelligence level that is too far above his agricultural team-mates, so drifted at times.
Mane (5) Way below his usual levels and didn't offer enough threat or invention on either flank. Average.
Salah (5) He's one of our best and most dangerous players, but for all his goals and workrate, his touch and awareness are still erratic, and this was not one of his better days, with at least one glaring chance missed and a few dopey decisions.
Sturridge (4) I'm not really sure why he started, as he was fucking abysmal in his last appearance. OK, Firmino isn't anything great either, but I'm not the retard who didn't buy a striker this summer and instead spunked £40m on that fucking spastic from Arsenal. Anyway, Sturridge looked laboured, one-paced and lacked conviction. Poor.
