This has really pissed me off - this match was there for the taking.

Reina - 5 - average at best.
Konchesky - 5- involved in the FU for their 1st
Skretl - 0 - utter utter garbage, a rank amateur.
Kyrgiakos - 6 - looked very very slow at times.
Johnson - 7.5 - very good game in all aspects
Maxi - 6- started brightly but was largely invisible.
Lucas - 4 - can he even see a ball in the air ? Twice it dropped straight on him, unmarked, and he missed it both times. Fuck me.
Meireles - 8 (MoM) - class act controlled the MF for most of the game.
Kuyt - 6 - he gains 2 points for quick thinking and a quality finish ...... and that was all he done all game.
Torres - 3 - absolutely awful finishing, 3 quality chances (as per Spurs) and this cost us the match (as per Spurs).
N'Gog - 6.5 - Tried hard, ran hard, missed one great chance and not much else.

Konchesky and Skrtel was horrendous.

Where was Cole? Roys subs were shite as usual.

Yeah largely agree with those, maybe 7 for Kyrgiakos and Meireles and a 3 for Lucas

Sorry but we let in 3 goals. You can't blame Torres for the loss, it's not like it was 1-0.
[/quote]

We were 1-1 when he (3) and N'Gog (1) missed 4 great chances between them, had two gone in - game over, had one gone in then we'd definitely be in control of the game and their heads would / could / maybe have dropped after having led.

I admire your ability to appraise performances based on how we played in alternative timelines and parallel dimensions.

So you obviously think it makes no difference then .. being ahead by one or two goals. Please tell Budgie not to bother planning any more, whatever we do the result is pre-destined.

You have no right to criticize my last post, if it hadn't been for your earlier post, my post never would have happened.

Reina - 6
Johnson - 5
Skrtel - -fucking20
Soto - 5
Konch - 6
Lucas - 6 Him and Ming were shithouses for the third goal, but both played well enough throughout.
Maxi - 4 twatted the ball in the air alot and thought that was job done.
Meireles - 6
Kuyt - 5 pressed well and got the goal
Torres - 3 lazy twat
N'Gog - 5 Tried.

so anyone still on the 'Skrtel is better than Agger' wagon?

Oh and Ryan, he should have scored on that 1on1 ... surely that's positive?

Skrtel was rubbish alright, but he's had enough good games this season. Dagger has had his fair share of fucking 'mares too don't forget.

And re Torres... What? How is him missing that chance "a positive"?

Yah but how many of Skrtel's good games were with Mr. Carragher next to him?

Yah, because at least he's getting into position for them ... No striker scores every chances. He needs to be better, and really should but I'm (sadly) guessing his heart is no longer with Liverpool ... He's off in the summer and we're left with Kuyt & Ngog ...

I'm happy to make excuses for Torres, cos he's that good and he's been amazing for us. But.

His performances are getting gayer by the week, and his attitude stinks the absolute fucking house down. I'm sick of watching him wander around feeling sorry for himself.

I actually thought Torres looked like he cared a bit last night. Making defensive runs, tackles and tried to get the other lads going.

Should have scored though. I'll let it slide as he probably hasn't got much sleep this week.

He'll score a hat trick against Fulham.

I thought Babel looked pretty good when he came on. Showed more power, pace, desire and confidence in 20 mins than Torres showed in the whole match.

And I hate saying that because I do still love Fernando, in spite of everything.

Reina - 5 Probably the worst performance I've seen from him in some time; he looked a little slow in Europe but here he just looked shaky.
Johnson - 6 I actually thought he wasn't too bad; none of the back four were great but he was one of our better ones going forward and his move to get Jonas a yellow had me cheering.
Skrtel - 3 He was in trouble from the start; couldn't come close to Carrol in the air and wasn't strong enough to hold him so was always going to struggle. Don't kid yourself that Agger would have done much better - once the ref decided to let it go Carrol looked like a kid at christmas.
Soto - 5 He tried but was well matched by Carrol in the air and couldn't stay with him for pace.
Konch - 4.5 Even when he did things well I was nervous; the boy has calamity written all over him. I'm still trying to support him but can't imagine why Aurelio isn't in there.
Lucas - 6 Handled the midfield pretty well until about ten minutes after we scored then the game really did seem to get taken away from him. In fairness it got taken away from Ming as well.
Maxi - 4 Looks good enough when he's given a bit of time and treated politely - the barcodes never had any intention of being that nice. Result was predictable - he looked nervous on the ball and I couldn't count how many times he skied an attempted pass.
Meireles - 6 Similar to Lucas though I thought he was weaker in the challenge but showed the better touch in tight spaces. Would still like to see what he and Stevie would do in a partnership.
Kuyt - 5.5 Not much difference to his last outing - but he got a goal and that made a great deal of difference in the rating.
Torres - 4 Nothing hurts so much as despising someone you had such respect for. He's been awesome for a couple of years but he's a shadow of it just now and I can't help feeling the same deal has been made as with Mascher; he's giving us one last season then he's off to Barca.
N'Gog - 5.5 He's got some lovely control but he's still a kid amongst men and at the important moments it really does show.

Simple mate, Roy signed him and thinks he's better than Aurelio despite the evidence building up against him.

Reina 5

Johnson 7
Skrtel 2 {Good player but by a long way his worst ever LFC performance}
Kyriakos 7
Konchesky 3

Maxi 4
Kuyt 4
Lucas 3
Meireles 8

Torres 3
N'Gog 4

Errrr, on the basis that Skrtel can actually enter the field of play under his own steam, rather than by stretcher or wheelchair, I'd say he's just *just* edging out Agger at the moment.

As an aside: as has consistnetly been the case over the last few years, Carra goes through a bit of a dip in form, and the same old retards on here start up with the tripe and consipracy theories (undermining other players/ legs totally gone, etc, etc), and lo and behold though an injury they get their wish regarding the starting CB pairing (be it Skrtel and Agger, last year, or Skrtel or Soro, this year). Within minutes we establish that our organisation at the back is missing a leader, a CB who will actually attack the ball and can actually head it (rather than a hapless charge of the light brigade approach), and a defender who will actually disrupt the opposing centre forwards play..... consequently the whole defensive line (and the keeper) look dogshit.

Torres clearly wants out, but thats no excuse for serving up an utterly fucking gutless performance like that.

Hodgson: 1 win in 27 away from home..... Fuck. Me. Sideways.

Aye, agree with all of that.

I agree with Wizardry's observation that Agger wouldn't have done much better against Carroll. But Skrtel's decline has been marked, he's a pale shadow of the player he was in his first season.

For me, this match only served to reinforce that we will need another central defender who we can rely on to organize and aerially dominate the opposition - a young quick Sami would be a dream. As to whether Agger or Skrtel partners this new player in the years to come is moot, because at the moment neither's a long term solution in defence, with well documented issues neither appear to be capable of addressing.

Agger is stronger in the air than Skrtel. But he is not strong enough to handle Carroll on his own. But he didn't have to, he had Kyrgiakos for support. Considering that i think Agger/Kyrgiakos would have faired much better than Skrtel/Kyrgiakos.

This is down to how we defend as a team. Roy Hodgson has no idea on how our team are supposed to play without the ball in an efficient matter. There is the difference to great managers as Mourinho, Pep and as much as I hate to say it Fergie. The way their teams press to win the ball back is impressive, and make it very hard to be opponent. Rafa had that in him to, and managed to win the CL with players like Traore and Biscan in his squad.

When the team defends poor as a team we cant expect CDs or LB or whoever to do it on their own. SO as poor as any individual looks these days, it is down to team performances. Agood manager will be able to play the team well to the strengths of his individuals.

Another away game. Another defeat for The Worst Liverpool Manager In History (tm).

Reina (4). Looked a bit sluggish and didn't fill anyone with confidence. Apart from Newcastle.

Magic (6). Probably our best player, although that's not saying much. Gutierrez has no end product anyway, but he was kept very quiet.
Skittles (1). Abject in every way. Has a head that is a cross between a tit and a 50p piece. One of the worst defensive displays I've seen in ages.
Zorba (4). He and Skittles were batterd from pillar to post by the excellent Carrol.
Cuntchesky (2). After the improvement against Villa, back to his hapless, slow, retarded ways. Also has a head like a tit and made Joey Barton et al look like the best attacking force in the world.

Maxi (3). An away liabilty, just like his shit manager. Did fuck all of any note.
Meireles (5). Shrank a bit in the face of the powerful Newcastle midfield of Barton, Nolan and Tiete. Let down by his useless partner.
Lucarse (4). Looked the worst midfielder on the pitch. Which is no coincidence, because he was. We badly need to get Meireles a new partner, this cunt's useless.
Kuyt (5). Extra point for the goal, but was poor again.

Eggnog (4). He's not very good. How he gets a game for LFC is beyond me.
Torres (4). Can be very good. Wasn't yesterday. One can understand his frustration playing under TWLMIH, and with hapless cunts like Lucas and Eggnog, but it's when we need Torres the most that he can often frustrate.

Budgie (0). What more evidence do Henry and co need? He wa sthe worst possible appointment and he's making things worse. Get the FUCK OUT of my club, you doddering old cunt.

Two things:
1 - "Lucas was the worst midfielder on the pitch" yet he got a higher rating from you than Maxi? Good one.
2 - Please please don't use "TWLMIH" repeatedly. I implore you.
