Last Thursday night I'd finally got off to sleep around 2am (pills make a mockery of sleep pattern) only to be awoken at 3.50am by the sound of a car reversing at full pelt, a horn being sounded, then a car screeching off like its life depended on it, followed by an alarm.
Thought it was kids doing donuts in the car park for the parade of shops close to my house and the alarm was set off by the wheelspinning antics.
Walked round the next morning to said parade of shops for bread and lucozade to see that some fuckers had driven right through the front of the estate agent window. The only question is; why?
They didn't take anything, not even the computers. So why would a group of individuals who had the foresight to steal a car, and have one on standby as the getaway car then go and do and estate agents? Has the credit crunch reached the stage where disgruntled punters will extreme revenge on undervalued houses?
Madness. Mind you, the choice was limited. There's a Tesco's Express but that has bollards outside to prevent such an attack (after this was done about 5 years ago), a chinese chippy and a pharmacy.
Very confusing. What was more confusing was that the police didn't bother to turn up until after 6am. I await the next edition of the local paper to read about the rapes, murders and riots that took place that same night that prevented them from even bothering!
