I'm sure some people will not like this thread but it does help to keep all commentary contained!

Let's give it a try

Fulham 1-0 Newcastle

Not a great start but the first few games are always a bit odd due to the pre-season training regimes

They should win the Championship by a mile...

But then it is the championship.. anything can happen..

Word on the street is that the Championship is the toughest league to call.

Keep that nugget to yerselves though.

It would do them good to struggle. If they win the league easily all the old mad arrogance will return and they'll be expecting to dominate Europe within a year.

I imagine that would be the end of Rafa's career though. They have signed a lot of very good championship players, but I would expect them to struggle if they got promoted again

Perhaps, but the extent to which they did so would make all the difference. If Rafa can take our 2005 team all the way to Bigears he might be able to get this lot to survive in the Prem, especially as there are going to be other poor teams down at the wrong end of the table.
