The commentator on the Russian TV said we paid 7 million pounds to Swansea to get Rodgers. I've never heard of that. Is this true or is the commentator misinformed? Thanks.

First Ive heard of it and its unlikely a Russian journo would have a better inside track on the clubs dealings than any of the usual suspects so Im going to say this is highly unlikely. Probably Rodgers contract is about £7m over the duration and hes mixed it up
I think its £5 million for Rodgers and £2 million for the others who came together with him.
The news comes less than 24 hours after the Swans announced manager Rodgers had agreed a deal to succeed Kenny Dalglish as Liverpool manager following 48 hours of instense speculation.
It is understood Liverpool have paid a record £5 million compensation to lure Rodgers from the Liberty Stadium.
Rodgers, who has joined Liverpool after a £7 million compensation package was agreed, will now not be allowed to move for speculated targets Joe Allen, Neil Taylor and Ashley Williams.
