That's like the speech you usually hear from the President at this stage of a disaster movie.
No other alternative.. if this season is to finish, then the following season has to be cut short in some way..
We have qatar 2022 to also consider the following season..

Let's just take heed from the NFL and play some games abroad
Greenland is nice I'd wager
There's a few people in the media suggesting that next season could be one game against each opponent instead of two if this drags out a long way.Euro 2020 will be cancelled.
The league will be played to a conclusion.
Will be helped if all internationals also scrapped until autumn.
Champions league/Europa league will be one leg from quarter finals.
It will be a truncated summer break, if they get one at all.
Latest they'll start the season is September. November is ludicrous.

I agree. If this runs past July though then something has got to give somewhere, cos they can't start the next season too late as the euros in 21 will be starting before the season ends!No way sky or bt will be happy with that. Only half the games to show?
Good point on Blood Red - many players contracts end in June, so how to handle that if the league continues after then?

That twitter thread describing kids & schools being used as a tap to spread it at the times the government want it to spread & stop when they don't is a bit of an eye opener. It’s fucking shit. I’d do outdoor family stuff but I’d be looked at as some spreader of disease.
It's shit. I'm going to take up needlepoint, or maybe cross stitch, cos the playstation & xbox servers are guaranteed to fucking crash under the strain.Surreal feeling, waking up on a saturday with no sport to watch.

Would be shitshousery at the highest order if they follow through with it.
