Pin that up in Kirkby. If that doesn't motivate them to shut up the so called experts nothing will

There's a good chance all of what you said here will be wrong.

Got to say I think a lot of people are massively under-rating us. We have the best first XI in the PL, bar none. That could bode well for us in the CL especially, where we should be rated as one of the Top 4 at the very least.

Only question for the PL is squad depth when the games come thick and fast and hopefully avoiding injuries.

Or should I take my red coloured blinkers off?
Ahem

I posted this elsewhere but I guess it's worth a repost since it's now topical :

McNulty - BBC.

2. Liverpool

Last season - 3rd

It's getting tricky already given the spending at Chelsea and Manchester United, but Liverpool have the title in their sights again with their squad back to the sort of strength that won it for the first time in 30 years in 2019-20.

Central to it all is Virgil van Dijk, fit again after the serious knee injury that ruled him out from October last season. Liverpool were decimated by injuries but managed to put together a late run to finish third. Van Dijk, however, is the game-changer. The world-class defender adds so many layers to Jurgen Klopp's team, augmented too by the arrival of fellow centre-back Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig.

Liverpool's front three of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah remains as potent as ever, while Diogo Jota provides serious competition. Klopp may yet do more business, but even now this is a title-challenging Liverpool squad.

Betting guru on Sky:

A new season means everyone starts afresh but it's hard to ignore Liverpool's strong finish to the last campaign. Jurgen Klopp's men went unbeaten in their final 10 Premier League games last season, erasing any thoughts of a period of regression in the Klopp era. With Virgil van Dijk back, all is set up for the Reds to renew their title credentials and engage in a potentially explosive battle at the top with Manchester City and Chelsea.

I'm sure many will be placing Liverpool in their accumulators - and rightly so this weekend. A fast start is expected at Carrow Road. Norwich 0-3 Liverpool.

Worth posting this here from The Athletic (from 737Max stickied post) :

Experts in the field of predictions FiveThirtyEight, whose job it is to use data to predict elections, league tables and the like, have crunched the numbers on their supercomputer in New York. Their prediction for the upcoming season is Liverpool will finish as runners-up to Manchester City. Their statistical analysis for the 2021-22 campaign gives Liverpool a 21 per cent chance of winning the title. This compares to the 40 per cent for Pep Guardiola’s side, 16 per cent chance for Chelsea and 10 per cent for Manchester United.

City won't win it unless they sign Kane.
I think I agree. But I can't see them signing him because it's going to leave Spurs up shit creek. Yes they beat City but if they have any designs on Top 4 or a trophy they can't let him go.

They'll just get someone else. Or he'll be a smart arse and try to prove strikers aren't needed for a successful league run.

Have to say it's a bit worrying because M'Bappe and Haaland are both going to be available next year (and Kane too if he doesn't move this month). I can't see City going for both Kane this season and then +1 next Summer. If I was City I'd be waiting ... or maybe that's us.

The sensible thing is to wait. Haaland would be a much better fit and much more logical purchase. I'd pay the 150 for him now
