I'm undecided on the greek. He provides the possibility of scoring from a set-piece...but he always seems like a mistake waiting to happen in defense.

I wouldn't totally disagree with kingjulian, though Kyrgiakos' strength has been useful in physical battles on the deck too, but the question did say to pick the players you like, regardless of ability. I'd select a somewhat different team to actually go out there and play the upcoming games.

What's with the Shelvey love-in on here?

The kid's got some potential but his last few performances have been underwhelming at best, pretty shit at worst. He's a long way off a first team spot on form.

I wouldn't let fucking Babel near the team, unless I really had to. I have similar feelings about Dirk to be honest , heart of a lion, feet of shit. Babel did it again yesterday, came on like a whirlwind and petered out to a wet fart immediately.
I would rather have Maxi any day, he's not great at the moment but contributes more creatively than either of the other two.
