Don't you see in your sheer dullardry you've made my point for me? Can't you see that whatever appendage is used as a temporal indicator, becomes, in effect, a surrogate hand. Say you had no appendages with which to point, no stumps, no body, just a head, you would be denied the ability to point, to indicate something. You would be like that circular 'mounting circle', in need of an appendage to point with. You would lack a hand.
