Pre-Season Game 2: Fleetwood Town

Yeah, he's kept it simple this half, good pass for the goal and well weighted pass for the second chance for Woodburn. There's a good group of young players there who know each others game well. I have a bit of a soft spot for Kent, even though I know he probably won't make it, I like how positive he is. Randall looks like he's come on alot too. Brannagan has always looked a player to me, I'm not sure what level he will reach but he's a good, intelligent player.

I agree about Brannagan, he does look like a decent footballer, but what is it he actually does on the pitch?
I mean what does he bring to the team?
Looking at Grujic first game in England and he was at times toying with their midfielders. You instantly see the impact makes.
Brannagan, however good he is doesn't really impose himself imo.

Another example, is Stewart who also outshone Brannagan during the last season despite all the talk being about Brannagan beforehand. If he intends to play in the first team this season he needs to do more.

What a play by Ejaria...that's what I'm talking about Mark (regarding Brannagan)

Yeah I agree, I just think technically he's got it all. He hasn't shown it as much as he should, but his setpieces can be really good too. I guess it's a bit of Allen-ism, good central midfielder who is technically excellent but doesn't particularly excel defensively or offensively.

Well, this is all very one sided. Good run out for the kids.

Are we playing anyone half decent in the coming weeks?

I like Kent-- he makes things happen and is prepared to move the attack forward and quickly, too. Oh, and Firmino is absolute thiever of the ball.
