Pre match: Wolves (H)

[article]Ahead of Wolves' Premier League visit to Anfield on Sunday, Klopp, who concedes Traore has long been on his radar, said: 'He finally found his manager who found a position for him.

'At Middlesbrough he was exceptional, but somebody had to give him the right information.

'(He is) a big, big talent. You would never have thought he is that young, but he is still very young, and now he has found it (the right manager). It was always clear it would happen one day, and now it has. Good for Wolves!

'He is really dangerous. In a big space (Leicester striker) Jamie Vardy is difficult to defend, but I would say Traore is even more difficult to defend because his speed is exceptional.'

Hailing the work of Nuno as 'incredible', Klopp must now plot a way past a team he considers as 'very dangerous' as Liverpool aim to keep their 35-match unbeaten league run going against a Wolves team who gave the Reds' title hopes a major boost by coming from two goals down to beat City 3-2 on Friday night.

It is a testament to what Klopp has built over his time with the Reds that the hunger and desire of his players shows no sign of waning.

As to how he keeps such a level so high, Klopp said: 'I am blessed - I have a very smart team. That's how it is. It's not as if I have to tell them constantly 'Stay focused!' They are.

'We have so many good characters in the team, they know each other. There's nobody who is flying, not a little bit.

'Two years ago it was like this, and we didn't have the same points. A few things came together, the quality and the experience we have made together.

'A lot of things are more settled, and all this stuff, so that's all good.'

The visit of Wolves is the first of three home matches in the space of eight days as Liverpool also welcome Sheffield United in the league, and then Merseyside rivals Everton in the FA Cup.

With the games coming thick and fast, and changes in personnel inevitable to cope with the fixture congestion, Klopp has called on the fans to play their part in keeping his players going.

'Now we play three games in a row,' said Klopp. 'I can tell already we need massive help from the crowd because the period is so intense and we need to use each source for these games.

'Hopefully, our people are rested enough to be at our absolute best because that's exactly what we need.'[/article]

Yes wonderful. Great to watch and their approach is superb.

Will be very surprised if the coach isn’t snapped up next season by a bigger club.

They can easily be a CL club next season. Not sure if he switch then. The only big club left without a new manager then is City if United sticks with Ole.

The big question will be how heavily they’ll rotate. Going by the other teams that have had less than 48 hours, it will be quite a lot.

Must say it's a tough one for their coach, go all out today, risk losing and also risking his players fitness for the Watford game on New Year's day? Or rotate the squad, hope for a draw and go all out in the Watford game?
With less than 48 hours rest I think Nuno is forced to rotate. I think the same goes for us.

Still half a season to go .. still plenty of time for some managers to fuck it up.

Still chance yes, but who is a step up? Arsenal and Spurs are bound to give their new managers a full season Surely. Chelsea should back Frank through a summer of akctivity as well? Rest is not necessarily a step up if he keep the current level at Wolves. So hence it is United og City and I guess Uniteds first priority would be Poch. That leaves us with City if Pepe leaves. And even if it probably would be a good signing for City I think they will look elsewhere for å "bigger" name.

We’ve had 72 hours though, so I doubt Klopp will change more than 2-3 players.

Can see Mane being rested. Salah will start after being subbed early.

True. But we should have more to rotate than him?

Milner on left back? Keita-Gini-Hendo-lallana mix in midfield. Origi-Shaq-Salah upfront?

Think the only possible changes could be in midfield. Maybe Klopp won't risk Henderson after his knock the other night and Keita as well as he has played lately isn't accustomed to so much game time every few days so could see Milner and Lallana coming in for those two. Just a guess though.

I think both sides rotate heavily. If so, the advantage is very much ours.

That said I think Klopp went all in the first two Xmas games last year then rotated in the third, so we'll see.

If you're them though, surely you rest that first team, cos they've got way more chance getting all three against Watford than against us at home.

Well that just tells me that it's about time he gets one.
I've been thinking that way lately when it comes to us losing a match. If and when it happens, I think it will be easy to accept, but this team has a habit of defying the odds.

The Sheffield match is on the 2nd and then we have a gap until the 11th Jan for the spurs game. If we can ride out the next 2 with the majority of the first team, they can have a rest a long rest after the new year. This assumes we put out a b team against Everton

Rumoured team:

Alisson

Williams
Gomez
VD
Robbo

Hendo
Lallana
Milner

Shaq
