If that was the reason why they didn't ask for a review, they got it wrong. If there was a push - and there was - it should have been a pen.whether or not Gordon was already falling. Carra was spot on IMO.

A player who's OK with playing his football from the bench, and is that good at doing so, is not going to be easy to replace.

Nope sorry. If there's a push as the player is already on the way down (and there was nothing before that ) - and in this case it was - then that is the reason the ref. didn't give it, and he didn't. I don't think any ref. would give it if the player is already on the way to ground.

A question is whether that had any complaints that it wasn’t given. I think this was a 50/50 call and calling the ref over to review means that the committee clearly thinks a mistake has been made.

I think no complaints either way. If it had been Mané or Salah, I would be have upset, but not surprised. Happens almost every other game.
