I got 45/1 on 3 nil and it wasn't till I looked back at the bet i realised I'd backed it for Porto. What a tit. Thanks Bobby
I coulda cashed out on a 3-1 for a little profit but got distracted by the Madrid game in the pub and we were suddenly 4-0 up. Oops

I’ll say just one thing: Dreamy can start as many match threads as he likes.

I've said we are winning the CL from before we qualified, we got this in the bag.

It's written in the stars boys, enjoy the ride and get your money put aside for the final.

Ha ha 10kg now 😛

I lost 32 kg four years ago. Went from 99.8 kg to 68 kg, had to change my whole wardrobe twice! It took me six months in total but the majority came off in the first 13 weeks.

It's mainly stayed off but I am currently a little overweight at 75 kg, idea is about 72 kg

(for the imperialists 16 st 9 lbs down to 10st 10lbs and currently 11st 7lbs)

I was grossly over-weight but really wanted to get back into hiking/camping so went on a 2 year diet (up until the end of this coming April), I've lost 39 kgs so far and the hiking helps massively in that regard, I go on 2-4 week hikes and lose 6kgs+ each and every time. 5 kgs to go to my target of matching my weight of 20+ yrs ago. Awesome way to diet 😀 However the wardrobe is a war zone with everything having been trimmed, taken in and adjusted, even my old undies fall down unaided !

I told my son that Mane would score a hattrick before the match. Like a fucking tool I didn't back my prediction up with a visit to Paddy Power

Don’t ever meet up with @moron wearing those undies.

Amazing!

That's amazing!! How long did that take? Must have been over a year or two.

Even more impressive to relatively keep it off

Unreal effort to stay dedicated for two years!!

Yep same as Dee too I'm already struggling with my clothes

A 5-0 first-leg victory over Porto, in which Sadio Mané plundered a hat-trick in a welcome return to form, even had John W Henry salivating as the club’s principal owner took to social media to pass comment on the team’s display for the first time in two years.

First time in two years? Don't get TOO obsessed with us, Johnny boy.

His social media profile is probably managed by an intern:

"Porto shut-out by super-dominant attack with Mane getting three strikes in open play, as the MVP.
#MerseyRedsRule"

Err - I actually said in the original post! It took 6 months but most of it went in the first 13 weeks

weeks 1-7 were 800 calories per day, no exercise
weeks 8-13 were 1200 calories a day with 30-40 kms running per week
weeks 13-26 were just careful eating/drinking with lots of exercise

I think like most things in life it becomes a habit and it helps that, when I get an idea in my head, I'm determined and persistent. The phone apps help immensely, 1. calorie counter and weight tracker and 2. step/distance counter and daily tracker (I keep these separate as otherwise App 1. would start adding burnt walking calories to my daily allowance) ! These can massively incentivise you and pull you back on track when you start veering off path (chocolate, ice-cream and hotel buffets) !

Initially 1,700 calories a day (compared to the 3,000+ needed to stay at my obese weight level). Now I'm at 2,000. A typical male of my height and weight needs about 2,500 a day to stay at a level weight. The hikes and walking (10kms a day x 4-5 times a week) bite off substantial calorie chunks to add the mild progress from a slightly lower calorie intake.

Man that is extreme. I don't think any dietician would recommend 800 calories a day for a male, even 1,200 with that level of exercise, your body could easily go into starvation mode and start shutting down some essential functions. Still you survived and one has to applaud you for the fine effort !

Shit the bed

Sorry I missed that I was so impressed with the weight loss.

800 cl a day fuck, that's almost as tough as the 5-2 diet on the 2 days.

You must have had fuck all energy and been staring by 6pm.

So essentially you just balanced off the increase of 400 cl's with running.

Incredible effort.

Ya I'm a big fan of myfitnesspal.

I'm tracking at about 1500 cl a day at the moment but don't feel hungry and go to the gym/play soccer 5 times a week.

So the weight is falling off.

I'll eventually settle on a strict Monday to Friday diet and then enjoy the weekend.

You play what five times a week?
