Porto have told Liverpool and Tottenham they are prepared to listen to offers for their title winning stars - but only if their huge price tags are met.

Liverpool target Rolando has been valued at £17.5million while the strike partnership of Hulk and Falcao, who interest Tottenham, have been given valuations of £10m and £30m respectively.

Porto did not lose a single game on route to winning the Liga Sagres, Portugal's top division, this season and also look set for a place in the Europa League final after earning a 5-1 lead over Villarreal in the semi-final first leg.

Columbia international Falcao has scored 14 league goals this term while Brazilian Hulk has hit 22 and 25-year-old central defender Rolando helped his team concede just 13 goals over the campaign.

Porto president Pinto da Costa is preparing himself for a barrage of offers for his stars but he has set the bar for how hefty the bids should be.

He said: "The idea is to keep our players because they are all under contract. If any club is interested we would study their offers - if they are above the release clauses - but we are very quiet."

Porto are in an excellent negotiation position. £10m for Hulk sounds a bit low though.

£10m is for Falcao. Hulk is apparently valued at £30m.

Doesn't that mean the £10m is for Hulk? Well anyway, either of them would be cheap for £10m.

We don't need either of them. Hulk has a rather poor touch - something that will be exposed in a better league. Falcao is a centre-forward in the Carroll mould, we got one already.

Rafa was linked to Falcao a few seasons ago when he was still in South America.

His full name is pretty awesome. Radamal Falcao Zarate or something like that.

'kin hell!

Did nobody read the article, were not after either of them, according the article were after the defender,Rolando!

*Will be gobsmacked if we pay near £18M for another defender anytime soon*

Gary Cahill?

Nah, not for that money. I honestly don't think we'll spend above £10M on a defender this summer, we have bigger positions to sort and everyone from Kenny to the tea lady knows it.

Well he's still young, so I guess it could still be a case of Rolando bloom.

We do need a dominating arial presence though.

Left wing first then a CB for me.

I know some people think we need an LB but I'm happy to see what the young guys can do with Johnson staying at Anfield. If Kuyt is going to keep the right side to himself - and with a pacey, dangerous left wing that'd be fine - then we really only need one big signing before a CB.

All that said I can't imagine us going near him for 17.5m when I'm pretty sure Subotic is valued about the same and looks a measurably better target.

Agree about the need for aerial presence and the lack of need for a LB if Magic sticks around.

Not so sure about Deadly on the right - I'd prefer him as an option up front, slotting in on the right only in case of particular need. For that reason, while I agree we need at least one quality wide player I wouldn't insist on him being a left-side specialist. In fact, if Magic does stay I think (after this season) I'd prefer to keep him on the left and sign a top RW.

Don't know enough about either Rolando or Subotic to comment on that comparison.

Agreed with almost all of this. I do think CB is actually the priority number one followed by LW and CM. We are fine at LB.

Pretty much agree with all of this - and Aka's post as well.

The reason I'm looking at wide left as a priority is I think if we get someone wide on the right we still need someone on the left - I don't think there's anyone I'd be happy to see holding that position going forward who's currently at Anfield. At least, while not the model many think of out wide, Kuyt can fill that position. If we had a pacey, dangerous player wide on the left (in the Robben mould) then Kuyt actually provides good balance on the right.

If we sign someone for the right then I think we still need someone for the left and that will chew up more money that we could use elsewhere - specfically a 10 foot CB who can move like Hansen.

Agree wih most of that, but I'm not sure I'm as confident in JOhnson's ability at LB.

He's basically being shoe-horned in that position but I don't know if anyone sees him as a long-term solution to that problem.
