I guess it's more a question on how Salah rates in comparison..

It's tough.. Salah, is probably one of the clubs best ever signings in the modern era, but I'd still go for Suarez of 2013/14 every day of the week..

Suarez just had everything in his locker, absoloutley everything

Suarez 2013-14
Torres 2007-09
Salah on current Form

Suarez scored 10 in one month and did things that had us laughing out loud in their ridiculousness.

Salah while being superb hasn't had that effect consistently enough yet.

He does what he does brilliantly and how you would like to see any great player do it. He reminds me of Robben when he's in full flow on the counter running directly at people.

Suarez did things I hadn't seen done by a Liverpool player ever.

Norwich, that Newcastle goal, Spurs, fuck the list is endless.

It actually isn't even close for me on reflection which just shows how highly I rated Suarez that year as Salah has been great

The thing that always sticks in my mind with Suarez (aside from seeing his debut up close & personal & immediately texting my mate after his first attempt on goal to say he was going to be a superstar, no shit, it was the way he controlled the ball with the outside of his foot at pace & under pressure close up it was fucking genius) is that run of games where he intentionally won penalties by getting to the line on the left hand side of the goal, turning the defender inside out & then flicking the ball just to the side of their hand to make them fling their hand out in frustration at it.

If I remember correctly he won at least three pens doing that, the defenders knew exactly what he was doing but still ended up doing exactly what he wanted.

He was a mother fucking genius.

2013/14 season.Wasn't that the year he bit his way to "freedom"?Never go back, especially if you hold grudges.Salah for me,if he can continue as he is,like Suarez without the baggage.

Yup. LOVED how he did that. He took the piss.

Like I said he had everything in his locker, absoloutley everything..

Suarez run of nutmegs where something else too..

He made the best defenders look like cunts.

Salah though does bring the same fear factor with defenders, it's funny how defenders are now doubling up on him, to try to contain him, however like they did with Suarez and Torres it simply brings other people into the game..

Suarez with out question

I love Salah, but Suarez is, in all possible variations of definition... World class

Btw, we should all preface our choice of Suarez with the fact it's the Suarez we had. The Suarez now is pretty fucked & a shadow of his former self, sadly.

He may recover, & he is still a very good player, but he's not the same man by any means. He's been quite open about that fact too.

He’d still walk into our side though.

No love for Torres..??

He was phenomenal, when we signed him in 2007

He was the last player we bought before Salah who made an instant impact.

Suarez for all his brilliance and whilst as FFF said showed glimpses of his potential.. did take a while bed in..

Torres was brilliant. He scored against Chelsea and realised he could take this piss. You felt he’d score every time he got the ball. That goal against Blackburn was phenomenal.

He still wasn’t as good as Suarez.

At the end of the day, thats how you are judged as a striker.. The goals you score and the assists you make...

Whilst I agree he was amazing against UTD, it took a while to truly see what he was about..

As for Torres and Salah.. Instant impact..

You sound like the dude that hates Firmino.
Suarez was one of the best players to ever play for Liverpool. Thus the votes.

It Took YOU awhile to see it you mean. From day 1 for many of us we saw his brilliance. Just wasn't clinical in front of goal. But you knew it was only a matter of time.

I fucking LOVED Torres, and I'm obviously a Salah fanboy supreme, but Suarez was just incredible. I loved how much everyone else hated him too.

He set up 2/3 goals against Utd one where he nutmegged half their team inside the box before literally laying it on a plate for Kuyt

I listened to the game on the radio and had to wait for the TV highlights later to see how that goal came about. The radio commentator just could not describe what Suarez had done. He didn't even understand how it was possible.

I was sat five rows from the front with him doing it right there front of me and still couldn't understand it.
