I hope anyone happens.....They had 1 of the most successful managers of this generation in Ancelotti & not even he could muster anything there.

Mourinho might make them decent until the season end. We don't want that.

Hahahaha

No he wouldn’t and he’d cost a fortune whilst posturing on the touch line and blaming a random player

He's normally quite good at galvanising a squad for a few months at least

I quite liked this comment from an Everton fan on the Guardian website:
speaking as a fan of the worst team in the premier league, I've seen a few peoples musings regarding the 'Potter to Everton' possibility,
So Mr Potter if you're reading this ( and you value your sanity ) do yourself a favour and stay the fuck away from Goodison park, I've little doubt you'll be offered plenty of top jobs in the future, so don't take the moshiri bullshit sales pitch,
As much as I would love to see you here, as you are a bloody good coach and apparently a fine young man.
we don't deserve you,
and you don't deserve us

I rather prefer to see Rafa’s exceptional work completed by someone much loved by Blueshites.

Big Dunc, Granny Shagger… they can get Peter Reid back if they want…. anyone with history… preferably been inducted as not whatever their version of a Hall of Fame is (Broom Cupboard of Players You Likely Never Heard Of).

Agent Rafa might have done just enough to keep that downward momentum going.

Hell… dig up Dixie Dean and put him in charge for the remainder of the season.

Mourinho has shut down speculation linking him to Everton, not listening to other offers staying in Rome apparently

What about the people's champion? You don't have to win something to be a winner but he is a winner?

Fabio Cannavaro whose accomplishment was with Chinese Super League's (previously) richest team? 😵 Him or Lampard please. To be honest, I think Rooney has done quite a good job at Derby - given the financial mess they are in and the docked points they had.

Rooney has started far better in management than I expected, but I don't think he's ready for a Premier League job yet. That said, if pressed I'd have taken the exact same view about Stevie and it's looking as though I'd have got that one wrong.

I can see Moshiri and Kenwright going for Lampard, who's a bright guy and probably interviews very well. They'd be better advised to appoint a decent DOF (not a dipstick like Brands) and let him find the right manager.

Rooney would be mad to even interview for it. Derby could complete a truly memorable football story that will raise his stock considerably. Abandoning that half way through to Everton now would be a disastrous career move.

The Everton job will always come up every 2 years so why take it now when the squad is shit and they can't spend a dime.

it comes up every 6 months and as long as he's alive and isn't currently the Everton manager he will be linked with it

This. He's doing a good job at Derby and should stay the course at least until the end of the season and reassess then.

Let’s face it, Everton will be looking for another manager in another 6 months time regardless. It’s not like it’s a once in another lifetime opportunity so he may aswell wait and try again.
Looks like Sean Dyche has missed his boat for big time management though, he doesn’t even get linked for any mid table jobs anymore.
