Tevez, Parker, Van Der Vaart, Hernandez & Rooney. Bet it would be one of Manure players winning it. So its a waste of time guessing who's gonna win it. Move on.

He'll not come close to winning it, but I really rate Vincent Kompany.

Good shout, and you are right he wont come close to winning. Is it a world cup hangover season or what but for my money no team nor player has been truly outstanding this season. It will be given to a Man U player as they will win the league and the victors get the spoils but i would be tempted to give it to Adam as he has really come on this season and played some really nice stuff.
How about giving it to Gerrard? not for his season you understand but for his lengthy attempts at excellence a la when Giggs utterly robbed him a few years back. Or of course it would be nice and turn round to the pampered millionaires and say sorry but you were all pretty crap, no award this season.
Kompany is a beast. wanted him for a long time now. Hopefully we manage to buy some of the other promising young players coming out of belgium this time
Charlie Adam for single handedly keeping Blackpool in the Premiership. A bit premature but what the hell. He's been outstanding for them and scored loads of goals.
Disagree. If they stay up (and I have a hunch they might not) it'll have been very much a team effort. Adam aside, they have some pretty ordinary players there, but the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

What is the age limit for the young player award?
Chicacunto is 22.[/quote]
You could have given better examples: Hart is 23, so is Nasri, and Nani is 24. It's quite ridiculous really, as I think it should really be restricted to to guys 21 and below.
If he hadn't been injured or kept on the bench in the league under Hodgson, Kelly would've been a lock for a nomination.

Roy played Kelly more than anyone.

As I was saying... "kept on the bench in the league under Hodgson". I recognize that Hodgson did start Kelly a lot in the Europa games. It's the league I'm talking about.
Just for the recording for anyone wondering:
- For the league, Hodgson started Kelly twice, and had him coming on as a sub in 1 game (83rd minute). He was an unused sub in 11 games.
- For the Europa games, Hodgson started Kelly in 9 games.
Under Kenny, he got 8 straight starts starting with the FA Cup game, followed by 7 straight Premier League starts. Best decision Kenny has made in his second stint here so far (well, together with the acquisition of Suarez, that is).
