How do you guys go about doing this?
When I started last season, I got promoted after the first season and I thought this was gonna be an easy game to play. This season however, I've lost my first 3 games, and I now realise players' form drops easily, and I had to spend money on form training etc.
But now that I'm in a higher division, it seems I need to tweak my tactics to perfection in order to get a result. And I'm thinking I need to learn how to choose the right formation. Last season I went with a bog standard 4-4-2, and I figured, if it's not broke don't fix it. But the thing is, I think it IS broke. Yesterday I went with a 3-5-2 system to see would it work, but no cigar. I still got pasted.
So I was wondering, is there a certain rule of thumb people use when picking their formations against certain other teams? Or is it wiser to just stick with the one you're used to?
