Performances you remember

(Not counting footy obviously):

Was just watching the '93 Super Bowl recap for the 'Boys and they went over Emmit's performance in Week 17 against the Giants. Winner gets home field advantage, and the week bye. Emmit separate his shoulder, and still rushes for 150+ yards on 30+ carriers, plus 10 catches, for 50+ yards. I remember the game ... He was phenomenal. Hearing him talking about, "I said no pain no pain, as tears were rolling down my eyes." People don't really understand how great this guys was - but this game is the definition of his career I think. 100%, no matter what, and the determination to win that few rivaled.

[/quote]That early 90's Cowboys team was ridiculous.
Still cunts though.

I learned today that the reason we got charles haley was that he shat in some teammate's car ... ha ha he was insane.

While we're on the subject of NFL, I'd just like to mention that Drew Brees has just taken Dan Marino's 20-plus-year-old passing record. 8)

Marat Safin vs Roger Federer Australian Open Semi Final...Both players played exceptionally well and put on a show. I don't think i have seen a match of such high quality from both players since then.

I basically became a huuge fan of Safin after the game.

I still think he massively under-achieved in his career. His game had everything.

I'm in two minds about mentioning this given the tragic outcome, but anyway: Nigel Benn getting up from the floor and a terrible beating to hammer Gerald McLellan to defeat. Never seen sheer raw courage like it.

I remember that, I watched it in a friends house and couldn't believe Benn got up after being hit so hard. I remember the 'war dance' that he done afterwards. Nigel Benn said afterwards that he got hit so hard by McLellan he remembers giggling to himself and thinking "oh look there's Gerald McLellan" while lying there.

No takers for the Safin vs Fed game? It really was a beautiful match. The best game of Tennis i had seen in a long long time.

Kevin O'brien is a brilliant shout. It was a moment for all associate cricket nations to be proud!

I would also like to bring.....Michael Schumacher in Canada 2011. Many had written him off as over the hill, but under changing conditions he showed everyone who was the boss. It's a pity the track dried for the last 7 or 8 laps, if not he would have caught Vettel.....he was catching him in the wet. David Coulthard had egg on his face on BBC commentary team.
