Pepe Reina has become accustomed to clocking up landmarks during his Anfield career and, in seeing out the full game last night, he became the first Liverpool player since David James in 1997 to play in every minute of every Premier League and cup match during a calendar year.

The Spaniard has clocked up 48 games in all competitions in 2011, but his hopes of making it a 21st clean sheet were ended by defender Daniel Agger’s first-half own goal.

It's a little sad that we haven't won more with Pepe in nets.

I really hope he doesn't go through his Liverpool career without winning the league or the champions league, it would be a shame. Just like I hope(hoped) Gerrard, Carragher and Hyypia will(would) win the league before they retire.
